Ace Handyman Services Cape Cod, in Eastham, is who homeowners call for the odd jobs that fall between trades — assembling a stubborn bed frame, replacing a lamp post snapped in a blizzard, hanging curtains, sawing up old fence posts for firewood. The volume of praise is hard to ignore: 242 Google ratings average 4.9, and across dozens of recent reviews essentially none dip below five stars. The same few names keep showing up, each tied to a specific job rather than vague praise. Rob Hess gets credited with replacing that storm-broken lamp post, installing new mini blinds and curtains, and adjusting the height of a king-size bed. Justin diagnosed and fixed a roof leak on one visit and, on another, swapped a closet door, installed a toilet seat and built a closet shelf — the kind of visit one customer summed up as calling in "the ACE Hardware handyman." Tad handled a complicated four-drawer bed assembly and separately replaced a basement's suspended ceiling; Chris kept a property protected and winterized through a winter storm; Ron sawed up old fence posts into firewood. It reads less like a remodeling outfit and more like a team built for install-and-repair jobs — furniture, grab bars and handrails for aging-in-place safety, storm doors, closets — plus the occasional bigger favor like rebuilding a garage a storm-displaced vehicle had damaged. Recent months keep the streak going, with no negative reviews turning up in that stretch. The one thing worth asking about: a recent review flagged that the office had confirmed a grab-bar size by text and email, but that detail never reached the technician on-site — the installation still got done and praised, but it points to a coordination gap between scheduling and the field crew worth double-checking on a job with specific parts. Separately, the sole below-five-star review in this whole history was about the final cost coming in higher than expected. For quick installs, safety modifications, and the home-repair list that keeps growing, this is a solid call — just confirm exact specs and pricing with the office in writing so nothing gets lost between the phone call and the technician's truck.

I had a complicated headboard footboard and four drawer bed to be assembled. Tad was great. It was quick to schedule. He was right on time the next day. And the work was completed beautifully. Happy to know about Ace Handyman Services and will be doing more with them in the future.
