Agile Painting and Carpentry offers exterior painting alongside finish carpentry — stairs, trim, baseboards, door and window installation, decks, flooring, framing, and roofing. The company says its crew has more than five years of experience. Its website claims a five-star Google rating based on 49 reviews, though the Google listing we found shows 4.8 stars from 26 ratings — a real gap between the two figures. Most of the reviews on file, a cluster from September 2024, are short but consistently positive, describing the crew as professional, competent, and quick, with several customers saying they'd recommend the company. One review stands apart in both detail and severity. In a July 2025 review, a customer described hiring Agile to sand, stain, and finish existing hardwood floors and stairs, and reported a blotchy stain job, dents in the wood, and stain splattered on the walls — with the company blaming the original flooring installer rather than its own finishing work. For exterior painting and general carpentry work, Agile's short-but-positive review cluster is a reasonable signal, but the detailed complaint about a hardwood floor refinishing job — and the mismatch between the company's own stated Google rating and what we could verify — both argue for asking to see finished floor work specifically and confirming reviews directly before booking a refinishing project.

I had an abysmal experience with this company. I had hardwood floors previously installed and hired them to sand them, stain and finish the top floor and stairs. The stain is blotchy. There are dents. Drops of stain are splattered on my walls. They blame the installer for using too much wood filler (which can be sanded down) and the pictures show blemishes not due to wood filler. They wouldn’t sand between the spindles causing obvious marks. When asked to sand they responded by saying no because their machine doesn’t fit there. I had to push even though I hired them to sand. I have texts clearly saying they will stain and put two coats of clearcoat on it. After he finished staining he tried to convince me since it’s stained it doesn’t need polyurethane. Which is false. Then after one coat he again insisted the job was done even though the agreement was two coats. Any minimal research tells you a floor needs at least 2-3 coats. To make things worse, we clearly agreed I would pay more per square foot so they buy all materials. After that they kept giving me Home Depot receipts trying to get me to pay them for the materials again. This happened numerous times I am not happy with the result and would never recommend this company. This is the only time I’ve felt compelled to leave a negative review about a company.
Excellent Job! 👍🏼
Professionalism and competence , that’s what I would say about them, they deliver way more than you ask!
The best company to get the job done! They know what they are doing and how to make the custumer happy!
