Air Conditioning Systems Inc, a South Burlington company, holds a 4.8-star average from 23 Google ratings. A 2024 Google reviewer said they had worked with Bob for a number of years and was working with Avonda on the demo and all the new HVAC and plumbing in a commercial building in Williston. A 2022 Google reviewer described a system bought in 2019 and said that, at first, the company serviced the house nearly the same day they called. That 2022 reviewer said a regulator and the thermostat failed within the first year and were invoiced, with no warranty service provided. The same 2022 reviewer said that when the system was bled, a valve was closed off that kept the furnace from shutting off in 90 degree weather, and that the company's response was that it no longer does residential work. In that 2022 review, the customer said another firm later found that an optional bypass valve Avonda had installed was never turned on.

Avonda is great. I’ve worked with Bob For a number of years and always have seen Avonda as one of the top HVAC contractors around always doing high quality work. I just bought a new commercial building in Williston and am working with them on the demo and all the new HVAC and plumbing. Highly recommended.
2019 PURCHASE OF SYSTEM: They have been so amazing to work with. They service my house nearly the same day that I call, they are polite and considerate. UPDATE 2020 WARRANTY (NO Warranty service ever provided) So they have failed on the warranty end of their work. They had to replace a regulator and the thermostat which failed within the first year and I have been invoiced for it. They complain about having to comeback because they failed to bleed the system to begin with. 2021: We have had a cold Spring. The first real days of summer we were boiling in the house because the furnace wouldn't go off in 90 degree weather. This was the first attempt to turn the furnace off since Avonda serviced it for a broken regulator. The system was brand new and I have already had multiple service calls just to get it running properly. I was charged for these service calls, even when I told them at the time the regulator failed they'd need to bleed the system. Their Serviceman told me I was wrong; clearly I wasn't, but they charged me for yet another service call. So when they bled the system, they closed off a valve that should not have been installed in the first place, which prevented me from shutting off the furnace and they charged me for that error as well. Now their response is they no longer do residential - really? I have had several service calls for the same issue - they can't maintain what they install so they fire me as a customer. GREAT! UPDATE: Another firm came in and reviewed the system. It appears when Avonda left they failed to turn on the optional bypass valve they had installed (which according to the manufacturer's directions should not even be there). I will be charged by this vendor for another Avonda error. I would not recommend Avonda and they probably should get out of residential work because they literally suck at it.
