Ask what people actually thank Airco for and the answer is oddly consistent: the paperwork. A February 2024 customer credited Joe with filing the Mass Save rebate forms. An April 2015 customer said the same. A 2015 reviewer had a zero-interest MassSave loan arranged for them. A February 2026 reviewer said Joe's efforts also got MassSave to add attic insulation. The company works from 15 Main St in Watertown, veteran owned and operated, with Steve Duarte as owner and James Carnevale as manager. Joe came out of Sears' HVAC division and Steve was one of his top installers before they went into business together. BBB has accredited them since July 2004 and grades them A+; the LLC started in 2002, and the company's own site says its specialists have been at it since 1997. The division of labour repeats across fourteen years of reviews. Joe quotes — thoroughly, with options, and often cheaper than the alternatives; a December 2024 customer called it the best price they saw by several thousand dollars. Steve and the crew install. What customers describe is tidiness: old hardware hauled away, work areas cleaned at the end of each day, and in one May 2020 case the screw heads on the ceiling grates painted white to match. A February 2026 reviewer's heat pump ran through a cold, snowy winter with no breakdowns and no short cycling. Two things to pin down before signing. First, permits: a February 2024 customer wrote that after a good sales process and good work, they could not get replies to calls or texts for repairs, and that two permits were still open a year and a half later when they came to sell the house. Second, follow-up when a system misbehaves — an April 2026 reviewer with a Daikin thermostat installed in late 2023 said it overshoots the set temperature by five to ten degrees in heat mode, and that no solution came before the one-year warranty ran out. A January 2024 landlord also waited six months in the queue with a deposit held before installation started; the install itself then took two or three days. The ratings line up across platforms: 4.9 from 27 Google ratings, 4.8 across 95 on Angi and HomeAdvisor, and an A+ at BBB. A good call for a Mass Save heat pump, furnace or central AC job where you want someone to walk the rebate and HeatLoan process with you. Get permit closeout written into the contract, and agree in writing how post-install issues get scheduled while the warranty is still live.
“Not that replacing a furnace system is ever *fun*, but Joe, Steve, and everyone at AirCo made it as painless as it cou”
“Joe had been working with Sears for over a decade, managing their window business in Texas and roofing in New England when he transferred into the HVAC division. Steve at Airco was one of his top installers.”
I recently hired Airco Home Comfort Services to upgrade several major systems in my home, including two new furnaces, two AC units, an on‑demand tankless hot water heater, and whole‑house water filters. I couldn’t be happier with the results. Airco completed all the work in a timely, professional manner, and their pricing was excellent. Each system has exceeded my expectations in both performance and efficiency, and the upgrades have truly transformed the comfort and quality of my living space. I highly recommend Airco Home Comfort Services and will absolutely use them again if needed in the future.
Airco (Steve) installed HVAC throughout my home. Answered all of my questions and addressed any concerns that I had. Professional install, timely and his price was competitive. Install was super clean and has been out once to replace a failed capacitor in the compressor.
Quick response, great service. They were able to get my system up and running timely and affordably. I recommend them highly.
Airco Home Comfort Services was great to work with. They were on time, professional, and really knew what they were doing. They made the whole process smooth, answered my questions clearly, and did quality work. You can tell they care about their customers and take pride in what they do. Definitely recommend Airco to anyone looking for reliable HVAC service.
We used AirCo for a pump system for heating and cooling back in late 2023 when we moved into our home. While we found Joe helpful with many things, we had issues with the system pretty quickly. A central system was installed upstairs with a Daikin one thermostat. In heat mode the thermostat never heats at the temperature set, it always overshoots by at least 5 degrees in some cases up to 10 degrees. This is really inconvenient. They never had answers or solutions for this and had attitudes when we tried to get them to come back and repair the issue. We finally gave up asking and the 1 year warranty expired. The AC works well enough, though also doesn't have an accurate temperature read, and we use it sparingly. Overall we were left unsatisfied customers which was a shame because we did a lot of research, were excited about the installation, and using the company.
