One name runs through almost every review of Armor Heating & Cooling: Geno — Eugene Arsenault, the owner, who still turns up on the job. Across 19 Google ratings averaging 4.8, customers describe him answering the phone, showing up when he said he would, and explaining the system as he works on it. The most useful account is technical. In an October 2025 review, a homeowner who had lived for years with three heating zones that misbehaved — one zone firing whenever another came on — had Eugene trace it to miswiring plus a shorted control board, rebuild the connections onto a new board, and charge what the customer considered a fair price for the debugging time. In May 2025 a commercial customer wrote that Geno had been fixing and installing units for him for almost six years, more than 46 of them across several buildings, from ancient equipment to new. A January 2024 client described a father-and-son pair working a hard-to-diagnose furnace fault over Christmas weekend. Reviewers writing in July 2026 keep repeating the same two things: clean work and a phone that gets answered. The exception is worth reading before you call. In October 2023 a customer with no heat wrote that Eugene promised a quote and the job, then stopped answering texts and calls and never sent the full estimate, leaving them to start over with another contractor. That is a communication failure at the estimate stage, and it is the one complaint on file — but if you are on a deadline, pin down the quote date in writing and have a fallback. A small outfit: the BBB records four employees and a 2017 start, and lists it at 133 Edenfield Ave in Watertown with a different phone number than the one the company uses elsewhere, so confirm which address and number are current. The BBB has no rating for it at all, having too little information. For central AC and heating work in Watertown and the towns around it — diagnostics on a system nobody else has figured out, zone controls, mini-splits, a straight replacement — this is a shop where you get the owner, not a dispatcher. Ask for the licence numbers when you book and get the estimate in writing.
