AJR Wallboard and Plastering LLC

AJR Wallboard and Plastering LLC is a Littleton, MA plastering business that describes itself as family-owned and operated for over 40 years, and it reports 44 years in business. A 2014 Groton Herald item named it a winner of the 2014 Best of HomeAdvisor Award. A 2026 Google review describes a water-damaged ceiling whose damaged portion was cut out and patched to match the existing scroll plaster pattern. Andrew came out to assess it and had a crew available very quickly, and the reviewer praised the prep work, the process to protect the work area and the follow-up. In a 2025 Google review, AJR did drywall, plastering and paint on a complete kitchen remodel, and the crews showed up on time. In a 2024 review, AJR fixed the problems left by a prior contractor who hung drywall in a room, plastered the walls and ceiling, and completed the job in the time they said it would take. A separate 2024 review says they plastered a basement ceiling and followed up on every additional request. In a 2012 review, Andy came out on a Saturday to look over water damage from an overflowing toilet tank, and by Tuesday his guys had put up the wallboard and plastered it. In another 2012 review, of an 1815 house, Andrew's crew fixed a bulge in the middle of a ceiling so it was not noticeable. A third 2012 review says AJR taped, put finish beading on corners and did the skim coat after a blue board install, and that other quotes were 2 times the price AJR quoted. In a 2013 review, a sunroom drywall and plaster job Andrew promised would be done in one day was left not completed that afternoon, and a window seat was left for a carpenter to finish; that reviewer called the work on the walls and ceilings good but said they would not use the service again. In a 2011 review, Andrew said coming back to prime and paint after a repair would cost extra money, which surprised the reviewer.
