Al's Masonry is a sole-proprietor masonry and landscaping business led by Al Burgun II. The company says it has been beautifying homes and handling small commercial projects in New Hampshire's Merrimack Valley since 1987, serving communities including Litchfield, Nashua, Amherst, Bedford, Hollis, Hudson, Londonderry, Merrimack, and Milford. Its stated work centers on residential and small-commercial stone and hardscape projects, and the company identifies Interlocking Concrete Pavement Institute certification. The public review history is limited. Google shows 3.8 stars from six ratings, while the one available written review, posted in May 2023, describes a phone interaction and a quote the homeowner considered far too high—16 times the price ultimately paid elsewhere. That reviewer specifically said they could not attest to the workmanship, so the comment is useful for comparison-shopping but does not establish the quality of completed masonry work. Before booking, ask for a detailed written scope and itemized quote, and compare it with other bids. Confirm which stone or hardscape work is included, who will oversee the job, the schedule, and the exact service area for your property. The company describes Al Burgun II as overseeing each job personally, but the available written review does not evaluate a completed project. Al's Masonry may be worth considering for homeowners seeking a long-established Merrimack Valley masonry specialist, especially for stone and hardscape work. The strongest next step is to review recent examples of comparable work and reconcile the quote carefully before committing.
Sounded like a nice guy on the phone but his quote was very, very high, literally 16 times higher than what I ended up paying. Cannot attest to the quality of his workmanship. It pays to shop around.
