A recent Google review says that after Al's serviced the writer's burner the year before, it shook the house when the heat turned on. Al's came back a couple of times to try to fix it without charging, and when Al's wanted to charge, the writer found a new company, which discovered that Al's had put the wrong nozzle size on the burner. In a 2025 review, the writer says that a year after Al's serviced the furnace, it started blowing soot all over the basement, and the writer found the air intake completely closed. In that 2025 review, Al's first said a manager would reach out, which the writer says never happened, and when the writer called back two weeks later, Al's said there was nothing they could do. A 2022 review, which calls the company Quality Energies, says it seemed to be filling the writer's tank whenever oil prices had peaked, at $5.29 a gallon for 90 gallons, with the price a lot lower a few days later.

We used Al's for years and were happy then last year we had our burner serviced and after that it shook my house when the heat turned on. Imagine that in the middle of the night in our tiny old house. Quality of sleep went down during those months. They came back a couple times after that to try to fix it without charging us which we were grateful for, but when they wanted to charge us we found a new company. It took the new company a couple times to come out and finally they discovered Al's put the wrong nozzle size on our burner. Problem finally fixed but the stress of this mistake lasted many, many months. We understand that people make mistakes but someone should have caught it in a subsequent visit and not try to charge us for it. We hope that they retrain the team so that mistakes like that are caught early on and minimized in the future.
I had my furnace serviced by Als Quality Oil a year ago. Recently my furnace has started blowing soot all over the basement. I thought this was strange after just a year of running without being cleaned. I inspected the air intake on the furnace and it was completely closed. This means ALS quality oil either forgot to set it properly before leaving or just never inspected it when they were here. Having the air intake closed causes the furnace to burn rich and become dirty and sooty much faster than it normally would. When I reached out to them about this they first said a manager would reach out to me, that never happened. I called back 2 weeks later and they said there is nothing they could do. I’ve used them for years and the first time there is an issue they aren’t willing to do anything for me. Never using again.
I've been a customer of Al's Quality Service for 20 years. Always outstanding service , especially when ordering oil over the phone. I appreciate the deliveries in January and February, when everybody needs oil at the same time.
Great Company and reliable!
