When the power goes out the hard way, Terrence Alden tends to show up fast. In 2024 alone, Google reviewers described a tree that damaged a home's service, with power back the next day; a car that hit a garage and cut power to a house, fixed with a temporary sub panel within two days after another electrician never showed; and a wind storm that pulled wires off a house, after which he upgraded the panel and stayed on National Grid until the line from the pole was replaced. Alden Electrical Contractors is an East Brookfield company that Terrence Alden says he founded in 2015 and still leads. Its site lists residential and commercial wiring, repairs, upgrades, lighting, generators, fire alarms and bucket-truck work in Central Massachusetts. His Massachusetts electrician license, #21777, is active, and the BBB lists the business as accredited with an A+ grade. On Google it holds 4.9 stars from 53 ratings, with reviews running from 2021 to 2026; customers call him Terrence, Terry or TJ. The planned work covers a lot of ground. A June 2026 customer had a full kitchen renovation wired and credited the crew with help on lighting design and layout; another that month had ceiling fans, smoke detectors, dimmers and floor boxes added to a new home within a couple of days, and a third had a breaker upgrade and an EV charger installed. A June 2026 reviewer said Terrence worked with the town inspector through permitting and inspection. Earlier jobs include a 100 to 200 amp service upgrade in 2024, a pool filter hookup with a new panel in July 2025, a new garage wired and a complete panel swap in September 2025, and a 2022 home office remodel with two new 20 amp circuits, can lights, a ceiling fan and a 4-gang switch. Clean-up and follow-through come up again and again. Several reviewers say the crew left the house looking as if no one had been there, and a June 2026 customer said they followed up after the job to make sure everything was working. A 2023 customer whose meter socket had come loose said Alden answered right away and sent an estimate without a fee just to drive out.
