Aldo's HVAC LLC says it's been rooted in Medford since 1996, when founder Aldo Vieira arrived from Brazil as an already-experienced refrigeration mechanic; his son joined the trade next, and Eliane Vieira came aboard in 2016 to help run the family business they still operate today. The company describes itself as serving residential and light commercial clients across the greater Boston area, with heat pump installation as the work people keep hiring them for. Its Massachusetts HVAC license is active, its BBB file carries an A+ grade even without formal accreditation, and Google shows a 4.5-star average across 68 ratings built up since 2021. The most recent review, posted in January, describes a heat pump installation in an office that stayed on schedule with clear updates throughout - in line with what shows up across the fuller review history and outside write-ups, which repeatedly single out on-time crews and steady communication during multi-day heat pump jobs. One thing worth asking about upfront: a review describes a diagnostic-only visit that went nowhere, with some language and follow-through friction along the way. If the job is troubleshooting rather than a straight installation, it's worth confirming who's coming out and how they'll walk you through what they find. Independent directory pages also don't quite agree on the review count (54 to 68 depending on the site), a minor inconsistency rather than a warning sign, since the address, phone number, and star rating line up everywhere. For a heat pump or ductwork installation, Aldo's fits the profile of a long-running, licensed, well-reviewed shop; for a diagnostic call, it's worth setting expectations on communication before booking.

I had a great experience with Aldo HVAC installing a heat pump in my office. The team was extremely professional, honest, and knowledgeable from start to finish. They arrived on time, communicated clearly throughout the process, and completed the job exactly as promised. The installation was smooth and well organized, and it’s clear they take pride in their work. I would highly recommend Aldo HVAC to anyone looking for reliable and trustworthy HVAC service.

I scheduled a technician visit with Aldo's to diagnose an A/C balancing issue in a new home. (They did not install the system.) The visit was a sham: the technician looked at the A/C unit, didn't see the dampers, and because the ducts were behind the walls, said there was nothing he could do. He communicated this "walls, nothing I can do" using Google Translate on his phone, from (Brazilian) Portuguese to English, because he did not speak any English, not even those words. So he did nothing useful and told me nothing I did not already know. (He was also wrong, it turned out: this kind of residential system, as is apparently common, did not have internal dampers, only vent flaps.)
I am refusing to pay the $195 invoice for this waste of everyone's time.
(Edit: in response to my feedback, Aldo's offered me a "complimentary preventive maintenance visit," which I declined.)

Aldo's has installed and been maintaining my HVAC system for several years now. They are a great company, very professional and experts at what they do. Very responsive and reliable.

Trustworthy company. Iones came to give me a second opinion on an issue with my HVAC unit. From another large plumbing company, I was quoted a $40k fix to replace the entire system. He came and troubleshot, got into a dusty crawl space, followed the tubing, and found the issue--a kinked plastic tube. NOT THE ENTIRE UNIT. In times when there is price gauging and misinformation, find the people you trust and stay there. Aldo's HVAC has a customer for life.

I have known and worked with Al and his team from Aldo's HVAC for 8 years. I have seen many of their completed projects and have dealt directly with Al, his management team and their technicians. Their quality of workmanship is excellent. They are professional, courteous, attentive, transparent and take great pride in their work. Al Viera the owner is one the most technically knowledgeable guys in the business. Great with high efficiency Heat Pump systems, Mini-splits and conventional heating and cooling systems. They complete their work on time, neatly, professionally and will exceed your expectations. I recently had 3 separate ECOER SDi Heat Pumps and matching ECOER Air Handler systems installed at my house through Al's recommendation and guidance. They are working great! I would strongly recommend Aldo's HVAC for any and all of your HVAC needs.
