Waterworks Mechanical Inc.

Waterworks Mechanical is a Winchester plumbing and heating company that's been in business more than 20 years, with 30-plus years of combined experience among its staff — and the person doing the actual work in nearly every one of 76 reviews from 2024 through 2026 is Peter, the owner. Its Massachusetts plumber license is registry-verified active, and it carries an A+ grade with the Better Business Bureau. Speed and honesty are the two things that come up again and again. Multiple reviewers describe Peter arriving within 20 to 90 minutes of a first call, including for genuine emergencies — a water heater flooding a basement overnight, a kitchen sink leak that could have caused real damage. One reviewer, dealing with a faulty thermostat, said the company suggested trying a different set of batteries before sending anyone out, and a three-dollar fix saved hundreds of dollars they were braced to spend. Another described a shower valve replacement that turned up a cascading set of aging valves further into the wall; Peter came back twice more and charged only for parts, not additional labor. The work itself covers the full range of a plumbing and heating business: drain clearing, water heater and tankless water heater installs, boiler troubleshooting, gas line work, and leak detection. One 2024 review described a decade-long relationship with Peter as the household's go-to for plumbing, culminating in a full re-engineering of a 100-year-old home's plumbing system from basement to third floor, including two kitchens, a bathroom, and new high-efficiency gas boilers. Eighteen reviews have landed in the last six months alone, and none of them are negative — the same pattern of prompt arrival, clear explanation of the problem, and clean work repeats from a Charlestown toilet and sink job to a Winchester outside shower installation to a century-old cast iron drainage pipe replaced the same day it cracked. There's nothing here worth flagging before calling. Anyone in the Greater Boston area with a plumbing emergency, a water heater or boiler that needs replacing, or a leak that needs tracking down is squarely who these reviews describe being served, and served quickly.
