I had a fantastic experience with All My Sons Moving! They moved me out of my Boston apartment on the 11th floor and did so carefully and efficiently. They were kind and very hard working. Would definitely recommend!

Here are some questions that you should ask prior to hiring: * How long have the movers who will actually be helping me worked for your company? * Are the movers experienced? * Will the van you are sending be large enough for the move? * What are your policies if furniture or other items are damaged? * What happens if the move takes significantly longer than expected because of inexperience or improper planning? These are all questions we wish we had asked. We hired this company for a move that was expected to take roughly half a day. The movers themselves were nice, respectful, and worked very hard, and I don’t want this review to reflect poorly on them personally. However, we learned that they had been hired by the company very recently and had very little moving experience. They were also sent with a van that was significantly too small for our move. Because everything had to be packed so tightly, they had to pull items out and rearrange the van multiple times, adding a considerable amount of time to the move. I ended up making several trips in my own truck because everything would not fit, and I also had to personally help them unload and rearrange items several times just to keep things moving. What was supposed to be about a half-day move ended up taking the entire day, and ultimately we were responsible for that additional time. Several items were also left outside by the curb when we arrived at the house. Unfortunately, we also had damage during the move. One of our lamps/lamp posts was broken, and our dresser was badly scratched from being packed so tightly. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the company, and they ultimately provided a 10% discount, which was around $200. I appreciate that they made an effort to address the situation, but considering the additional time, the amount of work we personally had to do, and the damage to our belongings, I don’t feel that was enough to make up for the overall experience. I’m usually not someone who leaves negative reviews, and I genuinely wish we had known more about the crew’s experience and the size of the vehicle being sent before hiring. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company.
