Call Aloha with a door that will not open and what customers describe is a clock running. One caller in late June had a technician on site within an hour and the door working an hour after that. Another called on a Friday morning for a repair and was fixed that day. A third got a text fifteen minutes before the van pulled in. Matt Francis started the company in Kingston in 2008 after working for another garage door outfit — the name comes from a stretch he spent living in Hawaii — and the site says he still runs it himself. The work is doors end to end: installation, openers, springs and cables, custom doors, and, on its Better Business Bureau profile, loading dock equipment for commercial customers. Customers name the technicians as often as the job — Vinnie, Jason, Kyle, Cody — and they name the office too, for answering the phone and booking quickly. In July a homeowner had both cables replaced after one snapped, plus rusted brackets; in March a customer called about a balky LiftMaster remote and had the doors rebalanced and lubricated inside the same flat fee. The depth behind that is 351 Google ratings at a five-star average, 74 of them written in the past six months. In December 2025 a customer who had 40 doors installed by Aloha said every job came in on time and finished clean. A July 2025 homeowner replacing old broken doors said Aloha's price was considerably better than the quote from the company their builder had recommended. One customer whose doors Aloha installed in 2018 came back this spring when an opener part failed, and had it diagnosed and fixed on the visit. The one wrinkle a customer raised came on a March 2023 install into a steel garage that needed extra wood framing: the crew finished in about three and a half hours, but the customer would have preferred pressure-treated lumber for that framing.
