Alves Pro House Painters

Alves Pro House Painters is a Connecticut painting company whose website names a service area including Watertown, Thomaston, Torrington, New Milford and Hamden. The company says it has been in business five years. A recent customer said Douglas and his crew painted the exterior of a house and garage, made carpentry repairs where needed, and replaced a few windows and the front porch railings. A customer on a tight schedule said the company finished their home over a long weekend while on three painting jobs at the same time, did some small fixes they had not asked for, and quoted a price they called very reasonable. A recent customer called Douglas and his crew neat, clean and courteous. A 2026 customer with an 1840s home said they asked for traditional linseed paint and methods, and that Douglas and his team scraped the clapboards and trim to bare wood, primed the wood and every nail head, then painted with Brouns & Co. products. A 2026 customer said Douglas Alves and his crew worked long hours on many chilly days on an 18th-century house on a knoll that needed extensive scraping and caulking. A 2025 customer said Douglas Alves painted the exterior of their two-story 1830s Greek revival with wooden clapboards in 2023. A 2025 customer living in an 1865 house said their landlord hired the company for stripping, painting and rehabbing corbels, and that Douglas did the high ladder work. A 2025 customer said they asked Douglas to de-popcorn and paint the entire inside of the house before moving in, a window of about 10 days, and that Douglas and his team worked overtime through curveballs including asbestos to finish by move-in day. A 2025 customer hired the company to repair and paint a deck and shed. On price, a 2025 customer felt Douglas's pricing was quite reasonable for painting the trim on their home's exterior. A 2025 customer said the job was a little more than they wanted to spend, and wrote: "Came on time and finished promptly."
