Kirstyn Pearl started taking her own jobs out of West Newbury in early 2026, and the eight Google reviews that have landed since read less like a business finding its footing than like a contractor people already hand a house key to — one customer mentions leaving her alone in the home while running errands. The company describes itself as woman-owned general contracting, owner-operated by Pearl, handling interior, exterior, and landscaping work end to end, with a stated service area covering Greater Boston and southern New Hampshire. Angi's listing frames the same range slightly differently: remodeling, painting, landscaping, junk removal. What people actually hired her for this spring is narrower and more telling. A deck refinish in May drew praise for prompt replies, arriving exactly when promised, and fair pricing. Another customer had old cabinets brought back to life. Others describe fine carpentry and painting in a family room that turned into staircases and a planned patio job, an attic cleanout, and a haul between storage units. The through-line across all eight is logistics rather than any claim about craft: she shows up on the day she said, and the site is clean when she leaves. Two things are worth pinning down before you call. The business is genuinely new — the BBB opened its file in February 2026 and declines to rate it, citing less than six months of operating history, and lists one employee. And the CS-122912 license number on the website is the company's own statement, not something confirmed against the state registry, so ask to see it along with proof of insurance and whether your job needs a home improvement contractor registration. For a deck, a cabinet revival, trim and paint, or a cleanout, the recent history is consistent and easy to check — ask for the addresses. For a full bathroom or kitchen gut, you'd be hiring on a few months of public record and a one-person shop, so ask who the subcontractors are and go see a finished job in person.

We had a great experience having our deck refinished by Kirstyn. From start to finish, communication was excellent. She always responded promptly and showed up exactly when she said she would. Her pricing was fair, and the quality of the work really exceeded our expectations.

Kirstyn’s attention to detail is stellar and she was friendly and professional throughout the project. It is evident that she clearly takes pride in her workmanship. Our deck came out beautiful, and we couldn’t be happier with the final result. We look forward to working together on more projects. Highly recommend!!

Kirstyn inspires confidence! I phoned her to help me move stuff from one storage location to another— and I almost took a photo of her LIFTING A WHOLE ANTIQUE DRESSER over her head into her truck! She made everything easy, professional, affordable— and she’s awfully good company. Smart and kind.
