American Fences, Inc.

A fence repair was enough to earn American Fences a customer's thanks in May 2026: the reviewer said Aimee took time to help after four other fencing companies were unwilling. The Hooksett company supplies materials and installs residential and commercial fences, including chain-link, ornamental, vinyl, wood and dumpster-enclosure fencing. It describes itself as a fourth-generation family business descended from the Mafera family enterprise, with a history going back to 1892. In a November 2025 Google review, a homeowner described a post fence along the roadway that made the yard look exactly as they had pictured it. They said American Fences installed it in a single day. A July 2023 reviewer described Judy helping narrow the fencing choice within their budget, Catie taking the initial measurement, and Brian installing the fence. The customer said their dog was enjoying the new space and they appreciated the added security. Another customer, writing in May 2023, praised attention to detail in getting the fence right. An August 2022 reviewer reported a very different installation. They said they waited seven months, workers arrived late most mornings and worked only a few hours a day, and the installation took longer than they expected. They also described an uneven front gate that was difficult to open and close, incorrect posts, wood that did not meet their expectation of all-new material, and debris left behind. The reviewer said a company representative argued with them and tried to blame them. Google shows a 4.4-star average from 33 ratings. BBB gives the business an A+ grade and lists it as accredited. In a September 2021 review, a customer described scheduling delays during the pandemic and material shortages, but praised the installers for explaining the process. They also said the company reduced the price when some quoted supplies were not needed.
