American Heating and air-conditioning service

American Heating & Air Conditioning Service says it repairs furnaces, boilers, heat pumps and ductless mini-splits throughout Hartford, Litchfield and New Haven Counties, and it says it has been in business for 48 years. A recent customer said Ron and his team did all of the heating and air conditioning for a new addition, working their schedule around the electrician and plumber. During a heat wave, that customer said, Ron rearranged his schedule to get the AC running. A customer who booked a furnace cleaning said the technician explained what he was doing without upselling, and that they covered the work area and kept everything tidy. A technician named Frank showed a different customer what was causing a mini-split to leak, after the company fit that customer in the same day they called. One job swapped an oil furnace for a gas furnace, with full removal of the furnace and tank and a replacement of the old A/C. A customer with an almost 16-year-old, 40-gallon leaking hot water heater got same-day service. A 2025 customer said the company replaced a 75-year-old furnace with a new furnace system in the two days it had quoted, removed the old furnace from the property and installed a new thermostat. A 2023 customer said Ron was there through all the steps of a complete switch from oil to propane. A recent customer changed a review to one star, writing that the system has to be replaced after four years: the furnace installation was fine, but there were constant issues with water in the basement after the A/C was installed, and after another company checked it, it is now being replaced.
