Baystate masonry & waterproofing llc

Baystate Masonry and Waterproofing is a Woburn contractor whose current Google reputation was built almost entirely in a few months this year — every one of its 29 written reviews falls between May and July 2026, alongside a 5-star average across 36 total Google ratings. The company describes itself as family and locally owned, offering roofing, masonry, waterproofing, and foundation/basement repair for homes and businesses, and its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active with the state. Foundation and basement work is what most reviewers mention by name — several describe the company fixing or waterproofing a foundation, with one noting they compared three quotes before choosing Baystate. Chimney work comes up almost as often, from routine inspections to full repairs, and a handful of reviewers also mention roof repairs, in one case paired with chimney work on the same visit. Several reviews name the owner, Matthew, directly, describing him as responsive and willing to step in on short notice for a job. Nothing negative turns up among the reviews, but the track record itself is short — every one dates to this spring or summer, so there isn't yet the multi-year history some contractors can point to. That's not a mark against the work described, just a reason to ask a few more questions up front: get a written estimate, and, given how new the review history is, ask for a couple of direct references on a job similar in scope to yours. Baystate is a reasonable call for straightforward foundation, chimney, or roof repair work in the Woburn area, backed by an active state registration and a currently spotless review record — just go in knowing that record is a recent one.
