Nobody writes about AmpSmart. They write about Anthony. The founder's name runs through most of the 28 comments on the company's Google page, and the jobs people describe are the ones that cannot wait. A May 2026 homeowner called on a Sunday about an outdoor panel sitting open with exposed wires; the crew arrived Monday morning and rebuilt it. Another May 2026 customer needed an evaluation on short notice in the middle of a home inspection and said he walked the system and gave a balanced read instead of a list of upsells. A third had a partial power outage diagnosed and fixed, and made a point of saying the bill was not padded. Working out of Revere, the company covers Boston, Cambridge, Quincy, Somerville and Worcester, and puts panel and service upgrades, knob-and-tube replacement, rewiring and EV charger installation at the front of its trade. Its site says the founder has worked in the electrical trade since he was sixteen. Two things about the comments are worth knowing before you weigh them. Every one on file was posted in 2026, most in a tight cluster across two weeks in April, and two of those writers say plainly that they are family or friends of the owner — one closes with 'yes, he's my nephew'. Another five-star comment describes buying a car from a salesman named Edward and has nothing to do with electrical work. And there is a complaint. In June 2026 a customer wrote: 'Takes payment and doesn't complete work.' It is recent, it sits against a long run of five stars, and it is the thing to raise directly before any money changes hands. Several customers describe calling Anthony back over years and across multiple properties, which is the strongest thing here. Get the scope and the payment schedule in writing, ask for a reference from before 2026, and for a panel, a rewire or an EV charger this is a straightforward call.
