Anderson Glass is a glass and window shop, and its most recent Google customer says they replaced windows in an office while keeping communication and scheduling tight to limit the disruption. The company's website lists a service area that runs from Fairfield and Westport to Hartford and Farmington. It holds an A+ grade with the Better Business Bureau and shows 4.3 stars from 20 Google ratings. A 2024 customer said a broken storm window from an older house was fixed quickly. That 2024 customer also brought in a second window with a broken frame; Jason looked it over, said he was not sure it could be fixed due to its age but would try, and the shop called the next day to say it was ready. A 2024 customer who broke a large pane on a french door said Jimmy asked for the measurements and supplied a custom-made piece of glass with a quick turnaround, plus a bottle of adhesive at no extra charge. A 2024 customer with a screen-door problem said the gentleman working that day knew the answer at a glance and gave instructions for installing new spline when the customer chose to do it themselves. A 2023 customer said a screen was repaired the same day it was brought in. A 2026 customer said it took repeated calls and roughly two weeks to get someone out, the visit ran over an hour late, and the promised price still had not come two weeks later. A 2025 customer was quoted $70 for a small cut of 1/8-inch plexiglass and told they were better off going to Home Depot, then bought the same piece for $30 at a hardware store in East Haven. A 2023 customer said that after 10 days the shop said it could not cut a piece of glass, citing short staffing, after taking a deposit. Connecticut lists its home improvement contractor registration, HIC.0668052, as active, held by Anderson Glass Company Inc.
They replaced windows in my office. It can be very disruptive. Throughout the process they were terriffic at communication and schedule to minimize the disruption. Very please with how they handled everything. Very efficient. and pretty nice guys as well.
Not a good first impression. Had to call numerous times before I could get someone to come out and look at my job - probably 2 weeks before they came out and when they did the guy was over an hour late for our appointment. Then he told me he would having pricing to me in a day or 2 and another 2 weeks went buy and I still received no quote. I finally called and told them to keep their quote. They would have been a nightmare to work with I'm sure. I used another glass vendor and very happy w/ them.
It should be two stars if that, but I’m giving them a 3. Try to support local business, I went there for a smaller Cut of 1/8 thick plexiglass, approximately by 30 x 20, I was quoted $70 and told that I was better off going to Home Depot. OK that’s fine so I went to goodies hardware in East Haven and other local business who sold me the same exact piece for $30. I guess they really don’t care about small orders. They make their money through commercial and not just the every day Joe that walks in. It’s a shame they used to be a lot different there.
Great service!!!!
