Two things are worth raising before you call. Nobody has written publicly about working with him — the score of 103 on his listing comes from licence and permit records rather than from customers — so references are the only way to hear from people who have actually hired him. And the description of him as serving "Middleton, MA and the surrounding North Shore area" with "eight years of experience" is the directory's own writing rather than his: the permits are concentrated in Boston, Arlington, Burlington and Wakefield rather than the North Shore, and the earliest of them dates to 2019. A 12-unit building permit in Everett from 2021 is listed as suspended. He is the right call for a substantial project — a new house, an addition involving structure, a full two- or three-family renovation — rather than a single-room refresh. Ask for the addresses of finished homes you can look at, references from those owners, and current licence and insurance certificates in writing.
