Reviews from 2017 through 2019 describe founder David Harrow personally walking through design after design with clients: in a 2018 review, one Back Bay condo owner credited Appleton with a major kitchen installation praised for responsiveness and cabinet quality, and another described turning a small condo space into one with 'plenty of storage with fabulous accessibility.' The praise isn't only from homeowners — in a 2018 review, a stone fabricator who worked alongside Appleton on multiple projects called Dave 'one of the most magnificent kitchen designers' they knew, citing his organization and reliability. Houzz's own tally backs this up: 4.9 stars from 18 ratings, three Houzz Awards, and three badges across 24 posted projects. More recently, three Google reviews from December 2024 through March 2026 describe a good experience working with Liam — one calling Liam and a colleague, Dareth, the best — with no mention of Dave in this newer batch, a shift from the Houzz-era reviews that centered entirely on him. Worth knowing: the company's own tenure claims don't agree with each other.
