Six months earlier another described a 40-year-old gunite pool refinished along with the surrounding concrete patio, done on schedule, with the problems an older pool throws up handled as they came up. That's the shape of the business: less routine skimming and chemicals, more the heavy end of pool work. Building permits filed under the company point the same way — a $171,000 deck and pool-surface rebuild in Falmouth, completed in October 2024, and a $120,000 14-by-22 inground pool with a separate hot tub in North Chatham, permitted in April 2023. The Andover company, which BuildZoom lists as owned by Ricardo Silva, says it has been at this for 16 years, and its own site spans gunite, vinyl and fiberglass construction, renovation, masonry and decking alongside cleaning, maintenance and repairs. The thing to settle before signing anything: its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 206117, comes back expired at the state registry — while BuildZoom's profile lists that same number as active. For a company whose permitted jobs run into six figures, that gap deserves a direct question and a look at the current certificate. The written history is thinner and older than the work suggests: a 5.0 Google average built on seven ratings, five of them written, none newer than August 2023. If you're weighing them for a gunite build or a full renovation — the work their two detailed reviewers actually describe — ask for references from the last two seasons, and confirm the registration is back in good standing first.
