A local news site has described ARC as an HVAC contractor whose trucks are a familiar sight around the Upper Valley, and has reported that owner Wil Buskey sold it to longtime associates Jody Perkins and Andy Courchesne. On its BBB profile the company describes itself as a mechanical contractor serving Vermont and New Hampshire. A 2025 customer said ARC sent an estimator right after the first phone call, a quote came within a few days, and the heat pump went in within the estimated time. A 2025 customer described ARC designing and installing three split units in a condo, two wall units and a ceiling cassette, and helping with the HOA approvals and permit preparation. A 2024 customer said a mini-split job included removing an old gas furnace and its ductwork, an old whole-house air conditioner and a through-the-wall air conditioner, with everything left tidy and closed up. A 2024 customer said ARC replaced damaged copper pipes connecting two heat pumps to the house and retested the system. A 2024 customer said that when a new heat pump made noise, ARC sent someone out and corrected it quickly. A 2024 customer said ARC installed a Bradford-White hot water heater and water main plumbing. On r/vermont in 2026, a commenter said their parents had signed a contract with ARC for a new propane furnace and two minisplits. A 2024 customer said ARC promised a summer heat pump install, then kept saying "next month" all the way to January, though that customer said the technicians who installed the pumps were prompt and professional. A 2025 customer reported an ARC truck speeding and tailgating on I-91 during a snowstorm. A 2023 customer called an employee extremely disrespectful. In a January 2025 r/vermont comment, a poster in southern Vermont said they had good luck with ARC Mechanical Contractors. In a 2022 r/vermont thread on heat pump costs, a poster said ARC was the only company that came to quote and called its $24,000 price outrageous.

We asked ARC Mechanical Contractors of Lebanon NH to help us deciding which Mini Split AC to install in our bedroom and we decided for a Heat Pump system (Mitsubishi Electric heat pump system). We are very happy with the advice they gave us. They have been punctual and the work was done as scheduled. Also they were very considerate of our needs and came to start the work at the only time of day that was convenient for us. Their mechanics did a wonderful job, besides being two very nice persons. And that goes also for the electrician who came at the time of the installation—we had chosen to have ARC Mechanical Contractors to hire the electrician of the Contractors' choice.
