A 2025 Reddit commenter said their family had used DM Furnace Man in Barre for almost a decade, and that Darryl kept their mom's 30-plus-year-old oil-burning furnace going for years with proper cleanings. A recent Google customer said the furnace man was knowledgeable and polite, made sure they knew what was going on, and made a point of charging fair prices. A 2026 customer said he worked on a furnace for multiple days and found that much of the problem was contaminated oil coming into it, not the furnace itself. A 2025 reviewer said he could not come out that day but gave ideas to try that got their heater working again. A 2024 customer who needed a furnace cleaned said Daryl answered questions about replacing the tank and called the price "wicked reasonable"; that customer said Kim coordinated the scheduling. In 2022, a customer said he got their old furnace back up and running each time it had three different problems in one week of extreme cold. On Google, the business shows 4.9 stars from 17 ratings.
“We have used DM Furnace Man in Barre for almost a decade...not sure if he would travel to where they are or not. Darryl limped my mom's 30+ year old oil burning furnace along for years with proper cleanings(the oil delivery company claimed to be doing cleanings and they weren't!) and a few parts here and there, and then he finally put in her new tank and furnace when she got the money together. He is 1000% honest, only repairs/replaces what is needed.”
They seemed to genuinely care about helping, not just about money. The furnace man himself was very knowledgeable and polite, he made sure to make sure everything was done right and that we were happy. It was surprising to see, as it's a customer positive way of doing business you don't usually experience today. Add to this that he did an impressive job overall for us, and made sure I knew what was going on with everything. He's a rare find. He not only knows what he's doing and does a great job of it, but he's a great and honest guy, and he has good people working for him as well. In addition, he made it a point to make sure he was charging us fair prices. It definitely was fair! It can be nerve-racking when having furnace troubles, but it ended up being a pleasant experience with this business.
He worked diligently on a furnace. It just wouldn't give up. Come to find out a lot of the problem wasn't the furnace. It was it oil that was coming into the furnace and was contaminated it worked on for multiple days. I can't thank him enough for finally finding an answer and coming up for the great solution to make it happen. Thank you, Daryl
Highly recommended, Can't beat decades of Experience...He returned my call within 45 min and had me up and running immediately. He educated me on my furnace which will help me in the future.
He wasn't able to come help us that day. But he gave great ideas and things to try. Thanks to his information we got out heater working again!
I highly recommend Daryl. He's very friendly and professional.
