Lloyds Electrical Construction is the kind of Belmont contractor people call when the job crosses trades: electrical work, heating and cooling, or a building project that needs practical coordination. The company says it serves residential and commercial customers across New England and has been in business for 30 years; Massachusetts license 9763 is active, with Eric L Powell named as the registry holder. Customers describe Eric handling both planned work and urgent problems. In a 2022 review, he helped restore a home's heat over a weekend, explained the pricing and arrival time, and solved the problem. Other homeowners writing in 2021 and 2022 mention boiler work, electric splits, and a small repair completed at no extra charge; a 2024 reviewer who had known him for ten years praised his straightforward approach across electrical and HVAC projects. The main thing to settle before booking is scope and price. One 2021 customer called the work expensive while still saying its quality was superior, so get a written quote that separates labor, materials, and any weekend or emergency pricing. The website also identifies HVAC and building/remodeling as services, while the customer accounts specifically mention heating, boilers, and electrical work. Lloyds is a reasonable call for homeowners who want one experienced contact for electrical work or a heating problem, especially when timing matters. Confirm which licensed professional will perform each trade and what the estimate covers before work starts.
Eric is one of the most experienced and kind contractors I've ever worked with. I would highly recommend him for any type of job, commercial or residential. Also, extremely funny.
I've known Eric for ten years and he is simply the best. He has done a variety of electrical and HVAC projects for me and for our non-profit. He knows what he is doing and is very straightforward and honest, above all. Eric has earned my trust because of the quality of his work and his reliability. I can see why he is always in demand. The most recent project is when my AC went our after a power outage and during a heat wave. I called him and he came right away. And above all that, he is a truly nice human being.
Eric helped us with our heat over the weekend, as it stopped working randomly (2 days after moving in!). He was communicative about the weekend pricing and his arrival time. And he solved the problem! And Eric was also a pleasure to chat with. We will be sure to get a quote from Lloyd's when we want to pursue central AC later this year, after this experience.
Eric was wonderful - friendly, smart, fast, helpful. He explained everything so well, and threw in an additional small repair for free.
Eric has done our boiler and electric splits. Yes he is expensive but the quality of the work is really superior and customer service has been great
