Armory Plumbing Inc. works out of 181 Stedman St in Lowell and is hired mainly for the unplanned kind of plumbing: a water heater that let go overnight, a drain that stopped draining, a shower valve that failed on a Saturday. The Better Business Bureau accredited the company in February 2026 and grades it A. What customers describe most consistently is speed. One writes that the plumber arrived within an hour of being contacted and had a full inspection done inside another hour; another that a water heater failed in the middle of the night on a Sunday and was replaced and running by early Monday afternoon; another that an emergency Saturday call brought someone out within forty-five minutes to re-plumb a cracked cast-iron drain. Google carries 4.8 stars from 118 ratings and Thumbtack 4.8 from 108. The reviews name the same people over and over, which is a sign of a small crew rather than a call centre: owner Elliot Morales and technician Alex recur across two years of jobs, replacing water heaters in tight basements, rebuilding shower valves, installing baseboard heat and cast-iron sewer piping, and running a drain camera to show a homeowner why a pipe kept clogging. Several customers single out being walked through the work and having the site left clean. The complaints are worth reading before you call. A January 2026 one-star review itemises $1,930 of first-visit charges - $360 to diagnose a leak, $325 to pull and reset a toilet, $710 for a flange replacement - and says the leak continued afterward and the billing dispute went unresolved. A March 2026 two-star review credits the company on responsiveness and scheduling but says prices are much too high, questions its gas-heating experience, and describes customer service turning argumentative. Those two are the outliers in a mostly five-star record, but they point the same way: get the price in writing, itemised, before work starts. The credential picture also needs a question. The Massachusetts plumbing registry does show an active licence numbered 17548, but the holder of record on it is a different named plumber, not this company or its owner - so treat the licence as unconfirmed for this business and ask Elliot Morales directly for his own master plumber number, then check it yourself with the Board of State Examiners of Plumbers and Gas Fitters. A sensible call for urgent Lowell-area plumbing and heating work where speed matters. Confirm the licence, get an itemised written quote, and ask what the stated two-year labour warranty actually covers.
“Armory Plumbing on stedman street”
Put in a residential service request for a suddenly failing shower valve with my Four Points property management company. They used an independent company Armory Plumbing. Elliot Morales (owner & master plumber) called back, scheduled an earlier time, thought ahead to confirm the brand to get the proper necessary parts before arriving, quickly totally rebuilt the shower valve...and even assisted with a slow moving drain. As a nephew of a master plumber, I think Elliott Morales and Armory Plumbing is great...and highly reccommend his exceptional service.
We are very pleased with the outstanding service from Armory Plumbing. Their estimates are thorough comprehensive and reasonable. Their professionalism is outstanding, we cannot say enough about this company! Elliot Morales the owner, is a scholar and a gentleman. - Liam and Paul Brouillette Laer Realty Partners
The gentleman that came to fix my faucet was very quick and efficient. He was pleasant to speak to and while working explained what he was doing to both my grandsons. They talked about him highly after he left.
Great guys! Very professional and thorough. Fixed my tubs drain pipes and drain lock hold for the water to stay in the tub. Would definitely recommend.
Elliot from Armory Plumbing replaced our water heater that leaked and flooded our basement. It was a late job, but he came in quick to help and figure out what needed to be done. I’d recommend his services to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and experienced professional.
