A December 2024 customer called on a morning with no heat and wrote that Cool-Rite was at the house half an hour later, with the problem solved half an hour after that. That is the kind of call this Lowell-area company gets: heat out, air conditioning down, something wrong with the furnace the night before a holiday.

On Google it holds 4.9 stars across 184 ratings, and a handful of names recur in what customers write — Ryan most often, then Tony, with Mike and Dave also thanked by name. In November 2025 a customer said Tony and Mike sized up the problem within a few hours of the call and had the heating running by 10 the next morning. A July 2025 customer said Ryan traced a failed part, found it was still under warranty and had the manufacturer send a replacement. In October 2025 another had an ageing Honeywell thermostat swapped for a Nest and described the wiring catch that came with it: two wires where the new thermostat wanted three. The one review since spring, from May 2026, says Tony returned the call promptly and booked a full walk-through of the heating and cooling system, with Ryan arriving on time.
The sharpest complaint is from November 2023, and it is worth knowing about if your problem is a leak rather than a breakdown: a customer with a 2017 Carrier mini-split that had been leaking refrigerant wrote that Cool-Rite would not repair it and charged almost $800 to refill the refrigerant, which was depleted again three months later. If you are calling about a mini-split losing charge, ask directly whether they will repair the leak itself and what a recharge costs.
