Arty Gendreau Electric, LLC (Arthur L. Gendreau) is a Wilmington, Massachusetts electrical contractor, in business about 9 years per BBB, holding an active Massachusetts electrician license (#21478, registry-verified). BuildZoom also lists a Journeyman Electrician license (#11106) for him showing a July 2025 expiration that BuildZoom has not independently verified. The record on file is small and split. A January 2024 Google review praises Arty and his electrician Andrew for correct, safe, on-time work with every option clearly explained. But a BBB review describes a serious problem: the reviewer's electric heat worked perfectly until Arty Gendreau Electric completed work on their kitchen renovation in June 2024, after which it stopped working. BuildZoom's own profile summary for this business independently confirms a disputed kitchen-renovation job that went to small-claims court and was decided against the company by forfeiture — a documented legal outcome, not just a one-sided complaint. Given a legal judgment tied to disputed work that reportedly disabled an electric heating system, and only one other review to weigh against it, it's worth asking pointed questions about that specific incident and getting a clear written scope before hiring for anything beyond a small, well-defined job.
If you want your electrical job done correctly , safely and on time choose Arty he has the best electricians working for him. Everything was explained in detail and Arty made sure I had all the options presented to me also Andrew his electrician was excellent in all the work that he did to bring my electrical system out of the 1980's and into the 21st century.
Run(don't walk) away from Arty Gendreau Electric! My electric heat worked perfectly until Arty Gendreau Electric completed work on my kitchen renovation in June 2024.
