Asplundh describes itself on its own website as one point of contact for the Asplundh family of companies, which it says span vegetation management, engineering and utility infrastructure, and it claims 95 years in business. A 2024 customer said National Grid gave about a month's notice before Asplundh trimmed their mature red oaks near power lines. That 2024 customer said no major branches were removed and the area was left very clean. A 2022 customer said two trees were removed from their yard and away from the power lines, and called the people who did it very professional. A 2024 customer said the driver drove over new grass seed during a neighbor's tree removal, and management came by and reimbursed the cost of the seed. In a September 2024 Reddit comment, a poster said they had Asplundh in twice over the summer and wrote that "those Asplundh guys are great." A 2023 customer said that during Eversource tree maintenance half a dozen of their trees were cut back, in two cases leaving little more than a trunk, and that flowers were stepped on and broken. A 2024 customer said a tree was cut in half rather than trimmed during maintenance for their city, and the site was left full of debris and wood chips. A 2025 customer said a truck parked in front of their driveway blocked them in for 5 hours. A 2022 customer said that while turning around in their driveway, they hit the mailbox, and a manager who said he would come fix it never called or showed up in almost 3 weeks.
“Had them in twice over the summer and those Asplundh guys are great.”
“When we remove a tree, the large logs always stay with the property owner and they usually do want them. Only rarely are we asked to haul them out. Asplundh working for the local electric utility does the same.”
“Next time you see Lucas or Asplundh out there cutting, ask them what the deal is.”

Travis William Goodfield ripped me off. I paid him 7500 for a truck he promised was a safe daily driver. I took it to my mechanic and he told me it was totaled.. frame completely rotted out among many other problems. Travis fraudulently sold me this truck, he knew the condition and lied. !Beware! Do not do business with companies that hire fraudsters!
Overly aggressive rude and unprofessional employees, the company lacks any resemblances of an ethical company, because of Govt contracts they have zero motivation to be a decent company.
ASSPLUNDER Parked their truck in front of my driveway blocking me in for 5 hours , asked them to move it as I had to be somewhere in an hour, got nothing but attitude and was told it was broken down, called corporate, only to be told I would get a call back that never happened. Trashy company that only exist due to forced government contracts.
National Grid notified about a month in advance about the scheduled trimming of our very large, mature red oaks that are growing near power lines. After reading reviews of Asplundh, I was concerned about both the health and aesthetics of my trees. Removal of large branches would not only cause a 'mutilated' appearance but could also threaten the overall health of the tree by creating large wounds. Asplundh did an excellent job of only removing smaller branches and maintained the beautiful shape of the trees without removing any major branches. The crew took their time with selecting which small branches to remove and the area was left very clean. Additionally, I appreciate that the trimming was scheduled in November. Firstly, this helps preserve the trees' energy as they were already dormant and leaves fallen. Second, opportunistic bugs / pests that could attack open wounds are at minimum during this time of year. Because of the timing, my oaks will now have all winter to heal the cuts. I am so relieved that my beautiful trees were not carelessly butchered, thank you Asplundh!
If I could I would give them a 0 star rating. They are tree butchers, not tree cutters. Shame on them for their poor work.....they just cut a tree in half rather than trim the branches during tree maintenace for our city. They blocked our driveway and could care less how they left the site. Full of debris and wood chips. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY! HORRIBLE!!!!
