Out of the old apartment and into the new one in less than 6 hours, with an elevator at the far end: that was a recent customer's move, after Nick Hanley came out for a walk-through and wrote the estimate. Astro of New England describes itself as a family owned and operated moving and storage business with over 42 years in the trade, run by owner Chuck Lamendola, Jr. A recent customer said the crew moved things along swiftly during the pack up and unload, after a timely quote from Nick. A 2025 customer said Josh found a loose screw in a bookcase and tightened it, and that at the new condo the movers asked about laying down two rugs before bringing the furniture in. A 2025 customer who used them for a move and for storage said not one item was missing or damaged and there were no marks on the walls. A 2026 customer said they were moved from Virginia to Rhode Island. A 2023 customer said a very high initial estimate for a short move ended at less than a third of that price. A 2025 customer said the crew would not carry their mother's bed up to the second floor of the new apartment, so she bought a $450 bedframe and box spring, Nick told her there would be no compensation, and a wall at the old apartment was dented. A 2025 customer said some furniture was not wrapped and got scratched. A 2022 customer said a storage quote came in $100 a month under the actual charge, and that furniture and sculptures arrived damaged, including a limestone column broken in half, on a move where that customer had forgotten to arrange insurance.
“They send someone out to your place (free, no obligation) to write you up a quote. Quoted me $500 to move a 1 br apartment.”
I cannot say enough how professional every single member of the Astro team was. They moved things along swiftly during the pack up and unload, were entirely hard working and the most respectful crew. So impressed by Joe, Brayden, Brian, Mike, Dustin and Steve's work. A plus experience from the start with Astro- from Nick's timely quote and thorough responses to my questions- and this crews' diligence during the pack up and delivery. You guys rocked it. Thank you.
Best moving experience ever! I would highly recommend Astro movers if you are looking to move. Nick Hanley came and did a walk through to see what was being moved. He came up with a very fair estimate. We agreed on a date and they called the day before with a time. They were there in the morning at the time I was told. Three young men came and started the process. I had everything packed and ready to go. What a system they had, one in the truck to pack, two in the house to move everything, I couldn't believe how strong these guys were, not a grunt or groan, just a steady process of moving. They had me out of the old apt and into the new one in less than 6 hours and they had to use an elevator at the new apartment!! They never stopped. Not even a lunch break!! Thank you Astro for making this move go as easy as possible.
Astro of NE is a top notch outfit, operating like a well oiled machine. Nick is a trustworthy pro and a master at what he does. You can trust that Astro will take great care of your moving/long term storage/logistical needs.
The crew that showed up to move me were terrific! Joe, Dustin and Brayden were absolutely wonderful! Very quick, kind, professional and helpful! They remembered what certain furniture came out of and knew where to put it in my new place! Moving sucks, but they made it enjoyable! Thank you to Nick and Sarah for accommodating me twice on moving my move date! I just can’t say enough great things about this company! Thank you!
I have recommended Astro of New England to multiple clients and they have RAVED about the customer service and attention they received throughout the process. Often times, I see moving companies lack in communication and clarity when dealing with clients, however Nick and the entire team over at Astro have exceeded expectations time and again. I highly recommend Astro for residential OR commercial moving/storage needs.
