Auger Construction, LLC

Auger Construction is a one-person outfit run by George Auger out of Hudson, working under a Massachusetts home improvement contractor license (#195816) verified active with the state. The company describes itself as a residential remodeling contractor, and BBB lists its work under general construction; it was incorporated as an LLC in 2019. The one written account on file is a 2022 Google review describing a full kitchen build — the homeowner said George stayed in touch through the whole process, coordinated the subcontractors, inspectors, and paperwork, and worked in a handful of unusual requests along the way. A 2024 Reddit thread in r/WorcesterMA separately pointed someone toward Auger for kitchen and bath work, without going into specifics. Its BBB file carries an A+ rating (the business isn't accredited) alongside a single permitted project on BuildZoom — a residential building permit in Maynard — tied to the same verified license. Worth asking about directly: how he staffs a bigger job, since BBB lists a single employee behind the business. Auger looks like the right call for a homeowner planning a full kitchen or bathroom renovation who wants a licensed, hands-on contractor rather than a large outfit — go in with the scope and timeline agreed before signing anything.
