Ideal Handyman

Ideal Handyman is a Hudson-area home-improvement company that describes itself as family-owned and offers handyman work along with kitchen, bathroom, basement, deck, porch, siding, painting, flooring, drywall and tile projects. It says it has been in business 20 years and serves Hudson, Marlborough, Stow, Bolton, Berlin, Sudbury, Maynard and Acton. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 202621, is active on the state registry, held by Ideal Handyman LLC. A recent customer says Marcelo and his team renovated a front porch. A recent customer had exterior painting, downspout and gutter repair, vinyl siding and wood repair on a house over 50 years old. A recent customer who had spent two years trying to get an estimate for exterior trim work calls the price very reasonable. A 2026 customer said Marcelo managed work on two properties, from replacing external vents to entire kitchen renovations. A 2025 customer said they called about an emergency fix to their only tub and shower and got a quote for a pre-fabricated tub and surround, with a working shower by the end of the first day. A 2025 customer wrote that a shower re-caulking went from request to finish in under 24 hours. A 2022 customer said Marcelo and his crew remodeled their kitchen, including removing a wall, relocating plumbing and installing new cabinets. A 2025 customer thought the quote for a small weatherstripping and storm-door-chain job was high. A 2025 customer described the pricing as on the high end and said a shower trim part was not ordered when the quote was accepted, which caused a big lag; that customer also said the company passed on a refund for the part it had ordered.
