B&G Cabinet is the go-to custom kitchen and bath cabinetry shop for the North Shore — a Newburyport, MA showroom that Jim Goulet started in a small woodworking shop in 1989, with the company itself pointing to 'over 30 years' on the seacoast (its BBB profile counts 38). Six designers now work out of the Low Street showroom, and reviewers name them individually and repeatedly: Ryleigh Goulet, Cathy Stathopoulos, Julie Sabbagh, Luke Goulet, and installer Mark all turn up across a decade of five-star write-ups. What stands out isn't just the volume of praise — it's how specific it gets. In an October 2020 review, a homeowner describes how designer Cathy Stathopoulos solved a genuinely hard layout problem: an architect had proposed tearing out multiple walls, but Cathy found a fix by moving a single doorway 12 inches, saving the client a substantial chunk of their budget. The same review credits installer Mark with building custom adjustable shelving from scratch for an awkward angled cabinet. A 2018 review tells a similar story on an 1880s home with quirky historical framing — cherry cabinets and a black walnut island top installed without a single setback, fitted around beam locations that would trip up a less careful crew. Designer Ryleigh Goulet comes up again and again between 2019 and 2021 — reviewers describe her as responsive, thorough, and easy to reach mid-project, including through a COVID-era renovation where communication stayed clear despite the disruption. Two interior designers who refer their own clients (2014 and 2015 reviews) describe using B&G repeatedly across multiple projects, which is its own kind of endorsement — professionals who could recommend anyone keep coming back. B&G is also BBB accredited with an A+ rating, holds NKBA membership and a CKD (Certified Kitchen Designer) credential, and has picked up 'Best of North Shore' and 'Best of Houzz' design awards nearly every year from 2014 through 2023. There's nothing here to flag as a concern — reviews spanning more than a decade tell a consistent story, and the one thing worth confirming directly is scope: this is a cabinetry design and installation specialist, not a general contractor, so anyone planning a fuller renovation should expect to coordinate B&G with their own contractor, as several reviewers describe doing.

We had an outstanding experience working with B & G Cabinets, and Julie, our designer, was truly spectacular. She supported us through the many stages of design and implementation with incredible patience, flexibility, and expertise. As our plans evolved, Julie consistently offered thoughtful guidance and practical advice, helping us navigate layout decisions, finishes, and functionality while always respecting our vision. Her responsiveness and willingness to problem-solve made a complex process feel manageable and collaborative. Julie went above and beyond to ensure every detail was right, and the end result reflects both high-quality cabinetry and a well-executed, intentional design. We are extremely grateful for Julie's dedication and would highly recommend B & G Cabinets to anyone looking for exceptional design support and craftsmanship.
Our neighbor recommended that we contact Ryleigh from B&G Cabinet LLC for our small cottage kitchen renovation. Ryleigh had designed her large kitchen renovation and our neighbor was completely satisfied. When we met Ryleigh we were instantly impressed with her vision, competence, and approachable personality. Even though our kitchen is a small space Ryleigh treated us with upmost care and professionalism. She offered many suggestions and worked side-by-side with our contractor throughout the entire process. Communication was clear, dates that were promised were fulfilled, and all or our questions or concerns were addressed instantly. Thank you Ryleigh and B&G Cabinet LLC for our beautiful and very functional kitchen. We love it!
I cannot thank B&G enough for my new kitchen! From the moment Cathy Stathopoulos walked into my very challenging angled kitchen, she had a vision for what it could be. We hired an architect who wanted to remove walls...many walls. Cathy shared with us by moving 1 doorway 12 inches we could achieve everything we wanted. Needless to say, we trusted Cathy and we are so happy we did. The amount of savings to our budget was remarkable. Cathy's vision was amazing!!! The kitchen feels so much larger and Cathy's space planning was awesome! The kitchen feels intentional and finally I have a place for everything! The level of professionalism she displayed during a trying time (in the middle of the pandemic) was top notch. She kept in touch with us about everything and explained everything to us completely along the way. We also had Mark from B&G install our kitchen. I cannot say enough about him! He was so professional and at the end of our install everything was perfect! We even asked to have him back to make some shelves for us for an angled cabinet that we had. Not only did he make them from scratch, he made them adjustable!! If you decide to choose B&G cabinet, which you won't regret, have Mark install them for you! My husband and I very highly recommend B&G cabinet, especially Cathy Stathopoulos if you need a beautiful new kitchen. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
It was a pleasure working with Ryleigh Goulet from B&G Cabinet in Newburyport MA. Ryleigh is extremely knowledgeable, offered great suggestions and was so responsive to any question or concern. I highly recommend working with Ryleigh and B&G Cabinet. The entire team from measuring to installation were friendly, knowledgeable and great to work with. I am planning a kitchen renovation in the very near future and Ryleigh will be the first person that i call.
We recently upgraded our kitchen after many years and were looking for a custom kitchen that could stand up to heavy usage and would enhance the first floor of our home. B&G cabinet company had everything my dream kitchen should have. We were questioned on our wishes and usage. The measurements were double checked, and they were 100% accurate. We had some concerns since we had a sink in a location that did not take stock sizes and still include a lazy susan. The custom base cabinets make the kitchen look like there were no issues. They worked with our contractor who opened up the load bearing wall for an open concept and for installation of the cabinets. Throughout the entire COVID-19 epidemic our designer, Ryleigh, was extremely responsive to all of our questions. There were no loose ends and the kitchen looks marvelous. I highly recommend them and have included pictures.
