Wayne Dao's crew keeps getting called back to the same kind of job: decks, porches, back stairs, the parts of a Boston house that take the weather. One homeowner, writing in November 2025, said they had used Dao Construction for ten years and wouldn't use anyone else. The company works out of Dorchester, its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#194890) is active, and Wayne's father Sonny turns up on the jobs with him — a December 2025 reviewer called the pair "one of the best that I've worked with", citing attention to detail and a site cleaned up as they went. The outdoor jobs run back years. A 2018 customer whose front porch and back deck were redone got a written estimate on the spot with a detailed drawing, and said it was made clear what work was being done each day. A 2019 reviewer described two decks replaced on time with a clean worksite; a May 2025 one had a deck reconstructed and a sliding patio door installed; in July 2025 another had new back stairs built and a storm door window replaced. Indoors it is floors and bathrooms. A January 2026 review describes flooring and tile work done over a holiday weekend, on time and on budget, with the bathroom and shower usable by the Monday. A homeowner writing in April 2026 had a pantry taken out, tile and backsplash, cabinets and countertops, a half bath, and the hallway that separated kitchen from dining room opened up. Two accounts push the other way, both from years back. In a May 2020 review a customer who contracted for hardwood repair and refinishing plus new hardwood, baseboards and stair treads said thinner sheeting than the contract called for was installed, and that wood filler over a scratch and then a divot in the new floor was showing. A June 2018 reviewer's only complaint was punctuality — that same review went on to describe furniture put back, floors dusted and mopped, and baseboards with perfectly mitered corners. If the project is a deck, a porch or a set of stairs, this is a natural call, and floors and bathroom tile carry the same history. Before signing, get the materials written into the contract by spec — thickness and product, not just "hardwood" — and ask what time the crew starts each day.
