Bannon Custom Builders Corporation

Bannon Custom Builders is a Sandwich-based design-build firm that works with architects and property owners on custom homes across Cape Cod, the Islands and Boston — the kind of company whose portfolio runs $400,000 to $5 million per project, mostly high-value new builds and renovations from Falmouth and Yarmouth to Nantucket and Provincetown. BuildZoom's permit history puts it in the top 10% of Massachusetts licensed contractors by score, based on 17 permitted projects since 2013. Public reviews are sparse — the business takes on relatively few residential clients compared to the scale of its custom and design-build work, and only a handful of reviews exist. What's there is largely positive: one reviewer called it the best renovation company in New England, and another praised office staff member Eliza for staying calm and professional while juggling a busy day. A 2025 review raised a different kind of complaint — about the driving of whoever operates the company's truck on the road, rather than the quality of any project. One thing worth noting: the company's own site says it has 30 years in business, while its Better Business Bureau profile lists a start date of February 2008 — about 18 years. The two don't line up, so it's worth asking directly how far back the company's history actually goes. The company holds an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, verified directly with the state, carries a Better Business Bureau A+ rating, and Paul Bannon has run it since at least 2008 with a team of about ten. This fits a homeowner planning a substantial new build, addition or historic renovation on Cape Cod, the Islands or greater Boston — not a small repair job — and the limited review count means it's worth leaning on the project portfolio and permit history over customer star ratings.
