Bartlett Tree Experts

Bartlett Tree Experts' Beverly location has built a long track record with local homeowners for ongoing tree care — pruning, removals, and the kind of plant-health work (spraying for insects, treating fungus, nursing an ailing pear or apple tree back to health) that keeps customers coming back year after year. Several reviewers describe working with the same staff — arborists Kyle V., Nick, and Jake, along with office contact Dottie — across multiple seasons, a strong signal for a service built on repeat, trust-based relationships. The work itself gets specific praise: a 75-year-old pine removed safely, a large oak taken down with the surrounding lawn and gardens left undisturbed, and pruning done with hand saws rather than chainsaws for cleaner cuts on limbs overhanging a neighbor's yard. Customers also credit the crew with follow-through — one reviewer said the team was upfront that they couldn't spray near a river due to environmental concerns, and appreciated the honesty rather than a sales push. Nineteen of the thirty-seven reviews on file landed in just the past six months, all positive, so the recent record is strong. That said, the history isn't spotless: a 2024 review describes a pruning job that didn't achieve what the homeowner asked for (opening up light in the yard) and a dismissive response when they called to follow up, and a 2022 review describes calling three times about a new job and never getting a callback. A 2024 review also flagged a company truck's driving behavior on the road, unrelated to the tree work itself. The Better Business Bureau lists an A- grade with one complaint on file. One Google review in the record describes tree work in Naperville, Illinois — a different branch of the national Bartlett company — so a handful of the reviews attributed to this Beverly location may actually reflect other branches. For ongoing tree care and plant health work in the Beverly/North Shore area, Bartlett's local team has a deep, mostly positive history with the same staff repeat customers come back to — just confirm scheduling responsiveness up front given the handful of callback complaints on record.
