Bath Planet of Connecticut turns old tubs into walk-in showers. A recent customer said installer Sheldon converted their tub to a walk-in shower. In an old house with cracked tile under the toilet, a recent customer said the company did a complete remodel down to the subfloor and wall studs. The company says it has more than 25 years of experience, and its website lists Milford, Bridgeport, Fairfield, New Haven, Hartford and Stamford among the towns it serves. A 2024 HomeAdvisor customer said Sheldon removed a 1920s-era cast iron bathtub, replaced the subfloor and installed the shower panels, fixtures and glass doors. When that 2024 customer found a leak on first use, they said he came out later that same day and fixed it. A 2023 customer said their tub-to-shower conversion cost $10,000 less than a Home Depot quote. A 2026 customer wrote that installers James and Harry removed an existing walk-in steam shower and completed the job in a day and a half, as promised. A recent customer said a $32K one-day job left them with a 69-inch shower lower than the one they had before, and wrote that nothing had been corrected. A recent HomeAdvisor customer described a 1-inch gap on an unfinished wall and an electrical hole in the wrong place on a stone wall, and said the repair kept being rescheduled after more than a month. A 2025 Houzz customer who paid $25k for a small bathroom remodel said the company put an unsealed flange repair kit without a wax ring on the sewage pipe and that the home smelled like sewage. A 2024 customer said a large section of the panel wall in a walk-in shower conversion bubbled and pulled away 19 months later. A 2025 customer described a sales representative who arrived an hour late and used high-pressure sales tactics.
I had a very small bathroom shower replaced with a cheap Home Depot shower 69" tall and my husband is 6'3" tall and has to bend down to go in and even more has to band down to come out from the shower. They did a nice stone wall what I ordered and they charged me for 32K for a one day job and they do not want to put a 78" shower door in because we have to by it. I am very unhappy and ripped of with a lower shower than we had before. This is Bath Planet in Milford, CT. I have to get it fixed what they did. This mass was done in May 11-12 2026 and today as of July 8 2026 nothing get corrected.
There is an unfinished wall what remain out of the shower with a 1" gap. On the stone wall there is in the wrong place the electric wire hole, right on the top of the wall. Why? Because the wal was glued up with the whole and the door happened to be bigger than the drawing on the floor and the wall so the half shower wall had to be moved closer to the sink 4". So the electrical hole became to be at the wrong place. The top shower head is a homework for us to place it to the ceiling, what was not in the contract either. Where us the 100% guarantee after more than a months they always rescheduling the repair?!?
Bath Planet has been great and we’re Very happy with our shower. They’ve been responsive to any issues we’ve had, which have been minimal.
Alex was fast and friendly!
