Bath World of Boston is a Haverhill-based bathroom remodeler that shows up in customer reviews under the brand name Bath Planet, and its work is built around fast, single-visit bathroom transformations — tub-to-shower and walk-in-tub conversions rather than ground-up gut renovations. It holds an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (license 200754, verified against the state registry) and a BBB A+ rating with accreditation dating to December 2023; BBB's own records list the same license number, expiring January 2027. On Google, it carries a 4.9-star average across 132 ratings. The recurring theme across dozens of reviews from 2021 through late 2025 is speed and process: jobs finished in a single day or two, crews that lay down drop cloths and vacuum on their way out, and a sales and design process customers single out by name — Nicole Chaput, Doug Labb, and Jeremy come up again and again for walking homeowners through tile, acrylic, and layout choices without high-pressure tactics. A meaningful slice of that work skews toward accessibility: several reviewers describe installing walk-in tubs and showers for parents or spouses dealing with arthritis, hip replacements, or advanced age, citing hydrotherapy jets, grab bars, and a low step-in threshold that let them bathe on their own again. Not every job has gone that smoothly. In a November 2025 review, one customer described contractors who skipped the filler strip on a new vanity — leaving a visible gap against the wall — and cut multiple holes for a light fixture that were never properly patched, calling the crew's work careless. It's also worth flagging that a cluster of October 2025 reviews refer to the installer as Ultratubs rather than Bath Planet; nothing here resolves whether that's a related brand or a separate listing folded into the same profile, so it's a fair thing to ask about directly. For a homeowner set on a quick, safety-focused bathroom upgrade — especially a walk-in tub or shower aimed at aging in place — this looks like an established, licensed regional option with a strong track record on speed and communication. Given the one detailed complaint about finish work, it's worth asking for a walkthrough or punch-list before signing off, and confirming up front which brand name and crew will actually be doing the installation.
Nicole personally met with us to discuss the bathroom remodel. Her professionalism and knowledge helped us making the right decision and choices for our project. She was always in contact and responsive throughout the project. She had a very warm and caring personality. I highly recommend her and this company. Tommy also provided us with personal service regarding the window replacement. He measured and installed the window with ease. He was also very professional and took care in helping us.
Do not hire them to do your bathroom. Their contractors are hacks. They didn’t install the filler strip for my new vanity so there’s just a gap between where the cabinet ends and the wall. They cut multiple holes for the light fixture and didn’t fill the holes left them for the painter I had to hire to fix because they don’t provide a painter. Worst of all the plumbing the did in my shower is wrong. I have an issue where my shower head leaks when you run the tub and had them out to fix it but they made it worse. I called a real plumber and he told me the contractor used the wrong type of pipe and they’d have to cut the wall open to fix it properly. On top of all this the head contractor is a jerk and raised his voice at me on multiple occasion's. Would never recommend them.. what an awful experience.
They did a great job! We love it
Absolutely love our new bathroom. Guil and his crew were amazing and their attention to detail is unbelievable. Below is a before after picture, but it’s even better in person! Thank you Nath Planet!
Shout out to Jeremy, and designer Nicole, for handling all questions and concerns from beginning to end of the process with my Mothers one day Walk- in- Shower / bath replacement. Highly recommend Bath Planet. Workers did a wonderful, and courteous job. Thank you all again.
