A tub out and a walk-in shower in, done inside a single day — that is the job several reviewers describe. One homeowner, writing in July 2025 and wary after past trouble with contractors, got exactly that, and mentioned the crew vacuumed before they left. Bath World of Boston installs acrylic bath and shower systems and says it is family-owned, with Eric and Renée Peabody as co-owners still in the day-to-day. Its site offers free estimates and names a service area running from Boston through Quincy, Braintree, Weymouth, Newton, Needham, Dedham, Framingham, Hingham and Plymouth. The sales visit draws as much comment as the installation, and several reviewers name the same design consultant, Nicole. An April 2024 customer described her laying out the pros and cons of tile versus acrylic; a July 2025 reviewer credited her with settling on the right shower size and safety bars; another, in May 2025, singled out the absence of high-pressure tactics. Installers get the same kind of notice — drop cloths down before work started in an April 2025 job, a shower head set to the height one homeowner specified in June 2025, and, in a July 2022 job, a door that did not fit the opening swapped for a new one a week later. Accessibility is a recurring reason people call: a May 2025 reviewer described rolling glass doors, grab bars and a fold-down seat in a made-over bathroom, and another that month had a walk-in shower, vinyl flooring and a new vanity put into a first-floor apartment over two days. The sharp exception is a one-star review from November 2025. That customer said the vanity went in without its filler strip, leaving a gap between the cabinet and the wall, and that multiple holes cut for a light fixture were left unfilled. If your project reaches past the shower — a vanity, trim, fixtures — write into the contract who finishes and patches, and walk the punch list before final payment. For a tub-to-shower conversion or an accessible walk-in, this is a sensible call; hold them to the one-day schedule they quote you, and get the finish details in writing first.

Tommy also provided us with personal service regarding the window replacement. He measured and installed the window with ease. He was also very professional and took care in helping us.
Do not hire them to do your bathroom. Their contractors are hacks. They didn’t install the filler strip for my new vanity so there’s just a gap between where the cabinet ends and the wall. They cut multiple holes for the light fixture and didn’t fill the holes left them for the painter I had to hire to fix because they don’t provide a painter. Worst of all the plumbing the did in my shower is wrong. I have an issue where my shower head leaks when you run the tub and had them out to fix it but they made it worse. I called a real plumber and he told me the contractor used the wrong type of pipe and they’d have to cut the wall open to fix it properly. On top of all this the head contractor is a jerk and raised his voice at me on multiple occasion's. Would never recommend them.. what an awful experience.
