Handyman Express

Handyman Express is a Haverhill, MA handyman and remodeling shop working out of 57 Beach Street, offering power washing, interior and exterior painting, decks, doors, windows, kitchen and bathroom remodeling, and clean-outs and debris removal. The Better Business Bureau's listing puts the company at 26 years in business, with an A+ rating, though it is not BBB-accredited. The written record here spans two reviews, posted about a year apart. A 2017 review said Brian completed the job quickly. A 2018 review told a harder story: the customer said Brian missed most of the scheduled days, left mid-project for over a week to take another job, and accused him of trying to "extort" more money out of the family. The company's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, held by Brian Deveau, shows registry-verified as expired. Angi also lists a Handyman Express in South Bridge, MA with 11 years of experience — a different town and a different tenure than the Haverhill, 26-year profile from the BBB, so it's worth confirming you're reaching the same business before booking. Given the split reviews and the lapsed registration, confirm current licensing and insurance directly, get a firm written schedule and price, and ask for recent references before signing on.
