Bayside Plumbing & Heating is the Orleans outfit Cape homeowners seem to end up on first-name terms with. Its Massachusetts plumbing licence is active, registered to the company itself, and the BBB records it as a sole proprietorship started in November 2005 with Francois Paravisini as owner. It covers Provincetown down to Yarmouth, doing plumbing, heating and cooling — oil and gas boilers, furnaces, air conditioning, heat pumps, water heaters, water treatment, gas piping and kitchen and bath work — and its own site says it holds DCAMM and MBE (Minority Business Enterprise) certifications and is a Mass Save Heat Pump Installer Network partner. The reviews are unusually specific about problem-solving. In March 2026 an office described Bayside fixing a heating fault another company had failed at twice, then driving to a remote location during blizzard shutdowns to collect an unshipped part. A July 2026 reviewer listed four jobs at one Orleans property — basement HVAC installation, heat pump repair after a lightning strike, a propane furnace that wasn't firing consistently, and a call on an end-of-life tankless heater — and praised the owner's habit of keeping what works and replacing only what doesn't. In January 2024 a cottage owner said several plumbers had told her a washer/dryer hookup was impossible short of raising the house; Bayside installed one, plus a dishwasher and an outdoor shower. On a May 2025 tankless water heater swap, the reviewer named the whole chain — Shannon scheduling and invoicing, Francois visiting to quote, Josh doing the install — after taking three quotes. Older houses come up repeatedly: a May 2026 reviewer credited them with keeping a "quirky, old house in top form." Price is the thing to raise. In July 2026 a reviewer posted a one-star complaint headed "$1,000 for cleaning mini splits!!", saying they had walked into Bayside's office by mistake while looking for a different company across the same lot and comparing the quoted price unfavourably. A 2025 reviewer separately described confusion on a bill, which they said the company resolved to their satisfaction and called honest. A 2023 caller with a minor toilet leak waited a week for the appointment, and was happy with the outcome. Good call for Cape heat pump and boiler work, for older or seasonal houses, and for the job another plumber has already declined. Get the number in writing before scheduling maintenance work like mini-split cleaning, and confirm which of their certifications matters to you if you are bidding public work.
“Bayside Plumbing & Heating LLC, Francois Paravisini, 50 Lots Hollow Rd., Orleans, MA $ 305,000.00 None”
$1,000 for cleaning mini splits!! 7/28/26, I walked into Bayside’s office by mistake. I was trying to book and prepay cleaning of my mini splits. I knew I was at this location, across from the Orleans transfer station. Bayside did not have any record of me in their computer. I knew I had the service done before. Baffled and shocked I left their office and when I saw the truck logo Kalinowski Mechanical in the parking lot, I remembered that is the company I was looking for. I called the number on the Kalinowski truck and they did in fact have me as their previous customer and their price was $450. I went back into Bayside five minutes later and asked to void that transaction. There is some serious price gauging going on at Bayside! They also charged me $20 in cash to cancel an appointment and to void the $1,000 charge. My credit card company does not charge to void a transaction within five minutes !!!
We have hired Bayside plumbing and heating from Orleans, MA for a variety of tasks, small and large. Make no mistake that this is a well-run company with well-trained, courteous employees-- each one seemingly a star in their own right. A company like this in our area is to be highly valued. They come well-equipped, and are real problem solvers. The recent installation of an AC heat pump unit was flawless. We are happy to say that we're grateful.
We’ve used Bayside for multiple projects at our Cape Cod property in Orleans — basement HVAC installation, heat pump repair after a lightning strike, diagnosing a propane furnace that wasn’t firing consistently, and recommending replacement of an end-of-life tankless water heater. What sets François apart is his systems thinking. He assesses a situation quickly, determines what existing infrastructure to keep and what to replace, and proposes a pragmatic solution. No overcomplication, no unnecessary upselling — just smart problem-solving. The crew are knowledgeable and friendly. Ideal local firm for plumbing and HVAC on the Cape.
Bayside keeps my quirky, old house in top form. If you own an older home, you know it's a never-ending story of this, that, and the other thing. They get the work done when they say they will, and the workmanship is really excellent. I am tremendously grateful to have Bayside to call when I need help.
These folks came out to our office and solved the heating problem another company had been unable to solve despite two failed attempts. Bayside overcame the hurdle of obtaining the unshipped repair part during the blizzard shutdowns, by driving to the remote location to pick it up for us. You can trust this team to go all out to solve your problems and always be kind and polite in the process.
