Beacon Fine Home Inspections, LLC

A recent customer had used Beacon Fine Home Inspections before on a home they purchased, and used it again on their next one. The company says it has been in business for 20 years and lists a service area that includes West Hartford, Glastonbury, Old Saybrook and New Haven. On Google it holds 5 stars from 65 ratings, and the Better Business Bureau grades it A+. A recent customer said Tom walked them through exactly what he was looking at and why it might or might not be a concern, and explained what to look for as appliances and parts of the house wear. That customer received a very detailed report with photos and recommendations after the inspection, and called the inspection reasonably priced. A recent buyer who had used another company for a prior purchase said that inspection didn't come close to the one Thomas provided. A 2025 customer said Tom started in the basement and went through the home's mechanical systems, including electrical, heating, plumbing, sewer and hot water. That 2025 customer wrote that snow the day before kept Tom from inspecting the roof shingles, gutters and flashing, and that he offered to stop by 5 days later to inspect the roof on his own time at no additional cost. A 2024 customer said they got a 78 page detailed report. Tom gave a 2024 customer a binder with information about home ownership and general maintenance once the inspection was complete. A 2024 customer wrote that it was their third home inspection by Tom. A 2023 customer said Tom turned the report around within a day or two, and that their real estate agent took his info to start using him with her clients. Connecticut lists its home inspector licence, HOI.0000473, as active, held by Beacon Fine Home Inspections LLC.
