Beacon Solar Construction is a Berkley, MA solar company that says it has been in business for 19 years. Its website lists a service area running across Massachusetts counties from Barnstable to Worcester and into Rhode Island counties including Providence and Newport. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor licence, number 193103, is active on the state registry. A 2025 Google review describes the installation crew as fast, efficient and incredibly clean, with the customer choosing the exact orientation and position of the panels and where the conduit, wiring and electrical boxes went. Another 2025 review, about panels put on a roof in 2024, says sales rep Paul identified a single tree whose removal would push sun coverage to 88% and make the house eligible for the town rebates, and later reminded the owner to sign up for SREC credits before the deadline. The work goes beyond new installs. In a 2024 Google review, Beacon Solar came out for a solar meter that gave no readings on a system it did not install, and later repaired the meter. In a 2023 review, Jimmy completed a replacement/repair in an hour. A 2023 review describes a battery storage option giving whole house backup, along with a house panel upgrade to 200 amps, and in another 2023 review Beacon had the roof done and after that the solar panels. There are real complaints. A 2025 review says solar panels had to be removed because they were placed on an older home without an accurate roof assessment. A 2025 review of a Level 2 charger install through Qmerit says the installation itself was fine but mud was left on the floor, chairs and a yoga mat after wires were run through a finished basement. In a 2022 review, a customer whose panels were installed the year before said they were not working and that months of emails and calls had gone unanswered. The 2025 review about Paul also mentions trouble getting answers on installation timing and on paperwork for credits and refunds.
“Russ Maymon, vice present of the commercial division for Beacon Solar Construction in Massachusetts, said a landfill is permitted to be a landfill, so a new use requires a post closure permit from the Rhode Island Department of Environmental Management (DEM), which involves a complex application that needs input from environmental engineers and lawyers, among others.”
The experience with Mike at Beacon Solar was an amazing experience ! He walked us through every step. Andrew was on site and went the extra mile to make sure the aesthetics were to my liking. I can’t say enough about this team ! I’d give them 10 stars if possible !
The system looks great, performs exactly as promised, everything is hidden, the whole team was professional and efficient. If you're considering solar, I highly recommend Beacon Solar. Definitely ask for Albert. He answered every call/text within minutes and made the entire experience stress free and enjoyable. In contrast, I had solar city on a previous house and that process was more than difficult and the system did not perform as expected
I had a fantastic experience working with Beacon Solar from start to finish. Mike Goulart, my salesman, was outstanding—knowledgeable, timely, and completely transparent throughout the entire process. He made sure I understood every step and always followed through on what he promised. Customer service was equally impressive. Anytime I had a question, the team was quick to respond and genuinely helpful. The installation crew was fast, efficient, and incredibly clean with their work. I appreciated being able to designate the exact orientation and position of the solar panels, and the team was very accommodating. They even worked closely with me to place the conduit, wiring, and electrical boxes exactly where I wanted them. In the end, the entire install was done to my specifications and turned out exactly how I hoped. I couldn’t be happier with the results and highly recommend Beacon Solar.
