Belcape Construction, INC

Belcape Construction is a Brewster shop built around one material: cedar shingles. Across three-plus dozen Google reviews — virtually all five stars — the same job keeps showing up, homeowners re-siding a Cape Cod house in white or natural cedar shingles, and the same name keeps coming up too: owner Dennis Orlov, who the company's site says has run the business since founding it in Hyannis in 2004. The reviews read less like marketing and more like a pattern. Customers describe Dennis calling back the same day an estimate is requested, showing up when he says he will, and staying personally involved through the project — walking the finished work with the homeowner, answering questions, and holding to the price he quoted even when rain pushed a job past its original schedule. Crews are described sweeping up debris and nails at the end of every work day, not just at the finish. One reviewer said their family has used Belcape for roofs, doors and siding over the past ten years without an issue, and another noted seeing a neighbor hire the crew after watching them work next door. The core of the business is exterior work — roofing, cedar shingle siding, windows, trim, gutters and the occasional deck — and the company is a CertainTeed Master Shingle Installer, credentialed for the brand's extended SureStart PLUS warranty; one reviewer independently confirmed the CertainTeed certification. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is active. In 2021 a Cape Cod news outlet listed Belcape among several local contractors who donated crew time to a Housing Assistance Corp home-repair day. The pattern across the reviews is consistent, project after project: cedar shingle siding and roofing done with a same-day response, work that gets swept clean daily, and a price that holds once it's quoted. For a homeowner on the Cape doing an exterior job — a full re-side, a roof, or a deck attached to one — that consistency is what to expect. Anyone wanting deck or trim work on its own, without a siding or roofing job attached, should confirm directly that it's something Dennis and the crew will take on solo.
