Bespoke of Winchester

In January 2026, Boston Magazine credited the custom cabinetry anchoring a sleek modern kitchen to Bespoke of Winchester; a September 2023 Boston.com feature described cabinetry it crafted with clean lines that still works with the home's traditional bones. Design editors keep landing on this shop for one thing — the cabinets, doors and built-ins, not the whole renovation. The company runs a design studio, showroom and workshop in Winchester, and its site says it designs and handcrafts custom oak cabinetry for kitchens, pantries, mudrooms and built-ins, made locally in Greater Boston. Its Houzz profile carries the detail that matters most for a cabinet job: the company says it employs its own master carpenters rather than subcontracting installation. The site also claims an exclusive partnership with Zip Water and the only New England showroom featuring Lacanche ranges. The two written customer accounts are both on Houzz, from 2017 and 2018. In a March 2018 review, a repeat client who had used them for numerous kitchens plus a library, custom bookcases and a wine room said they had excelled at each, from timeless classic pieces to sleek high-gloss finishes. A February 2017 customer who hired them to design and build kitchen cabinets credited a designer named Melinda with a keen eye for detail and a final design the household would never have imagined on its own. The press coverage runs later than the reviews. New England Home described a larder built to the left of a range, holding a microwave and pantry storage, in August 2022; Boston Magazine listed the firm under Best Kitchen Design in November 2022; This Old House credited it with kitchen design assistance in February 2024. A Reddit commenter in r/boston put it more briefly in February 2023: "Call Bespoke in Winchester." The Better Business Bureau grades the Winchester business A+ while listing it as not accredited, and dates its start to 2014. One wrinkle to clear up on the first call: listings put the company at two Winchester addresses, 25 Thompson Street and 27 Church Street, with two different phone numbers. If you want cabinetry designed and built for a kitchen, pantry or a wall of built-ins, this is that kind of shop — ask to see the workshop, and to meet the carpenter who will handle your install.
