Noel Torrissi Construction works out of Amesbury, with Noel Torrissi and William Lynch listed as its owners, and the jobs customers write about are interior ones — drywall hung and finished, framing, basements. Twenty-one Google ratings averaging a straight 5.0, and the praise repeats around the same few things: quotes come back fast, crews show up, sites get left clean. Then there is the licensing, and it is not a footnote. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #127852, is suspended — that comes from the state registry itself, not a directory. BuildZoom separately reports that a Massachusetts general contractor licence in Torrissi's name, #158214, expired at the end of 2009 and was last verified as revoked in April 2026, and it flags the profile with a quality alert and a score of 0 because it cannot confirm any active licence. In Massachusetts, HIC registration is what a homeowner's arbitration and guaranty-fund rights rest on for residential remodeling, so a suspension changes the recourse you would have if a job went sideways. Customers describe the work warmly and the state describes the registration differently; both are true at the same time. Two other things do not line up. BuildZoom's permit history under this name stops in 2007 — four Newburyport jobs, nothing after — while the reviews run through 2025. And the BBB carries a separate, unrated profile for N. B. T. Construction, Inc. of Plaistow, New Hampshire, listing the same owner and a different phone number. If the customer accounts appeal to you, lead with a blunt question: which entity would sign the contract, and what is the current standing of its Massachusetts registration. Get that in writing and confirm it yourself with the Office of Consumer Affairs before any money changes hands.

Had the guys at Noel Construction come hang around 30-35 sheets of drywall in my basement and complete a level 4 finish ready to prime/paint. Quoting was fast through Mario and they started within a week. They were on time and respectful in the evenings while working. Took a little longer than anticipated and had a few minor communication issues but overall quite happy with the results.
