The story that keeps repeating in Bigfoot HVAC's reviews is the one where somebody else already got it wrong. In January 2026 a homeowner wrote that another company had taken over $1,000 to clean their furnace and then told them to replace it, and that two more shops quoted three to four weeks just for a diagnosis; Jeff Miller came out quickly, didn't try to upsell, said the furnace itself was fine, and after two rounds of trial and error had the real problem solved. A week earlier, a customer whose boiler had been serviced badly by another outfit in November called Bigfoot and was fitted in the same day. In the field he is the whole company. A 2023 reviewer called him 'a one man show', and the reviews read that way — the same first name on every job, from the estimate to the walkthrough of how the thing works, with a 2023 customer noting Erin in the office keeping schedules straight. He is also, by his customers' account, a veteran: a July 2026 reviewer picked him partly because 'jeff worked on aircraft in the military, so it made me think he does not cut corners', and a 2024 reviewer summed the business up as 'Reliable, honest, local, veteran-owned.' The work covers the residential heating and cooling spread. In February 2026 a customer described a 35-year-old propane boiler and indirect-fired water heater coming out and a modern wall-hung combi unit going in, designed and installed inside a four-foot-high working space. A July 2023 review covers ductless mini-splits in three rooms plus a heat pump out back — clear about costs, no upsell, mess cleaned up. Water heater swaps and furnace service fill in the rest. Availability is the other thread. One customer's heat failed at 8:30 at night in single-digit cold and most shops were closed for the evening; Bigfoot came out. Another had a weekend failure, also in single digits, at a house they were minding. A third got a fix the day before Christmas. Google puts him at 5.0 across 42 ratings, HomeAdvisor at 4.9 across 25 and Thumbtack at 5.0 across 10 — the platforms agree with each other and with what people actually wrote, 59 reviews since 2020 with nothing negative among them. Price comes up often and favourably: 'incredibly fair', 'very reasonable', 'a good price'. A Lakes Region commenter on r/newhampshire said in May 2026 that a January gas furnace install cost less than other companies in the area. Two practical notes. He is one technician, so capacity is one person's day. And that same commenter wondered aloud whether he would travel as far as Milford — if you are outside the Lakes Region, ask before you plan around him. For a heating failure near his Belmont base, or for a second opinion after someone else has told you to replace the whole system, this is a straightforward call.
“Not sure if my HVAC guy would travel to Milford, but Bigfoot HVAC just installed a new gas furnace for me in January. Jeff, the owner is honest and dependable and knows what he is doing. And the cost was lower than other companies in the area (I live in the lakes region). Really the best company I could have ever I asked for!”
Joining the chorus of happy customers to praise the work and customer engagement by Jeff and Bigfoot HVAC. After a Google search of HVAC companies in our area, we sought out a free consultation with Bigfoot to address heating and cooling requirements in our new home. We solicited the obligatory three quotes. Unlike other companies who seemed to be selling their project/product and their (one) idea for a solution, Jeff had not only the most competitive quote, but he also actually listened to our requirements and gave us creative solutions based on his expertise and experience, finding the most efficient way to meet our needs. Jeff was easy to work with, with exceptional communication and professionalism throughout. The work looks as elegant and finished as mini-split ducking can be, complementing two existing systems and matching our home on the outside and integrating well into our interior spaces. When we could not quickly arrange for associated electrical work with our usual electrician, Jeff was able toengage an electrician to complete the work, and at a price that was consistent with the quote we had received for the electrical work separately. Going this extra mile was clearly just another part of working with Jeff and Bigfoot. Highly recommended; we will use Jeff for all our future HVAC/heating/cooling new requirements and maintenance.
I Saw bigfoot signs, so I looked them up. I Saw jeff worked on aircraft in the military, so it made me think he does not cut corners. Next he is working for himself, this made me think he is a technician who can diagnose problems vs a part replacing mechanic. Every time I texted him he responded promptly, also he texted me the day of service for when I should expect him. I needed someone to clean and check my mini splits. Price was fair, questions answered fully. Definitely the company I plan on using in the future.
Jeff has been my technician for several years. Every time I have an issue he always responds to my calls and quickly resolves the issue. Recently I had an issue with a house I was watching, of course on the weekend un single digit temperatures. Jeff came out and again quickly resolved the issue. I can't say enough about Jeff and his company. You will not be disappointed.
Jeff is amazing. We have had an on-going problem with our HVAC for months that was not being fixed by another repair service. We were referred to Jeff by a friend. Jeff came immediately when our boiler was not working in below zero temperature. He was able to diagnose and fix the problem quickly and it has been running great ever since. The pricing was very reasonable and the service was great! Thank you Jeff!
Reasonable prices. Fixed our boiler in time for our inspection. Defiantly recommend.
