Blouin Brothers Oil describes itself on its website as a local, family-owned energy company serving Enosburg Falls, VT and the surrounding area, with fuel options that include heating oil, propane and kerosene. A 2021 customer said they had used Blouins for 12 years and called the company very dependable. A 2022 customer said they had used Blouin Bros for over a year without any problems. A 2025 customer said the company gave them the run around for almost 2 weeks, they ended up out of fuel, and the drivers refused to come down the driveway. A 2025 customer said they shoveled 3 ft of snow to make a path for the delivery date they were given, and then they did not show, did not answer the phones and did not communicate. A 2025 customer said that when their furnace died on a night that hit 5 below, they were told the company would not work on it because they had not bought fuel from Blouin in over a year.
“Blowing” brothers is more like it, these guys suck! This company gave me the run around for almost 2 weeks and I ended up out of fuel. Office staff was always rude/in a mood, and the drivers refused to come down the driveway (another company got in and out without any problems). Also heard some very unsavory things about their business practices after I told some long time locals about my poor experience with Blouin Bros. Doesn’t seem like I am the only one who has had a horrible experience with them. If I could give 0 stars I would. Do not recommend.

Let me start off by saying, if I could leave zero stars, I would. It was 5 below last night. My furnace died in the middle of the night so I called blouin brothers the next morning and I was told they won't work on my furnace because I haven't bought fuel off them in over a year so I'm "no longer considered as a customer". Extremely unprofessional and rude, especially during a snowstorm and -5 weather. I proceeded to go to muccuins and buy nozzles and change them my self. Thats where I ran into Joshua bates, who owns bates heating & cooling. I expressed my concern and he was more then happy to help me out. I'll never forget this experience with blouin brothers especially in a emergency like this.
Phenomenal reliability and customer service. Quite possibly the finest small business I've ever had the pleasure of engaging. Highly recommend.
