Blue Water Construction builds and rebuilds lakefront homes around the Lakes Region. In a 2025 review, a customer described an almost-teardown of a lakefront home in Tuftonboro, NH, where they wanted to keep two big stone fireplaces built on top of each other for the bottom two floors; that 2025 customer said some people they consulted said it couldn't be done, and Blue Water built the new place while keeping the fireplaces. The same 2025 customer said a plumbing incident, with a subcontractor doing the plumbing, struck after the job was almost complete, and the interior of all three floors had to be largely redone, which Blue Water stepped in and did. That 2024 reviewer said the company's advice guided choices like a stone fireplace, the flooring and the design of windows, and that at the time of the review they had them handling snow plowing and seasonal cleanups as well. A 2024 customer signing from Center Harbor said Blue Water built a lake cottage and that having house design, construction, and bath and kitchen design under one roof was convenient. A 2024 reviewer said the company helped redesign and rebuild a 1960s lakefront cottage. The company describes its own work as custom lakefront residences and the transformation of lived-in spaces.
Blue Water Construction did an outstanding job on a very tricky project: an almost-teardown of a lakefront home in Tuftonboro, NH. "Almost" refers to the fact that we wanted to keep two big stone fireplaces built on top of each other for the bottom two floors. Some people we consulted with said it couldn't be done, but Blue Water not only built us a beautiful new place, keeping the fireplaces per our request. Then, disaster struck in the form of a plumbing incident after the job was almost complete but the place was not yet occupied. (Subcontractor did the plumbing.) The interior of all three floors had to be largely redone - and once again Blue Water stepped in and did a superb job. Thank you, Blue Water Construction!
We had a great experience with Bluewater. They helped redesign and rebuild a 1960s lakefront cottage. The quality of the workmanship is outstanding. We are still in contact with the builders and I call every year to let them know how much I love the house.
Blue Water New Hampshire, run by Doug and Jason Beane, has been an outstanding partner for us, as we made our dreams come true in a terrific lakeside home on Winnepesaukee. They worked closely with us on design, constantly finding ways to get the most for our budget. Their access to great subcontractors, sense of detail, high standards, and financial discipline all made the process not only smooth, but really fun. The house is amazing, thanks to their advice on decisions we were unclear how to make. Things like a stone fireplace, the right flooring, the design of windows, etc., all were guided by their expertise. And their focus on making sure things like the engineering design of the structure, the drainage, etc. has made a difference in the low maintenance we have. We absolutely love our home and continue to have them work with us on ongoing property management -- snow plowing, dealing with seasonal cleanups, etc. I HIGHLY recommend them to anyone looking to build in the NH Lakes region.
I recommend Blue Water Construction (New Hampshire) most highly. They built us a lovely lake cottage in New Hampshire, and it turned out beautifully. I could see during the process that it was well built. It was also very convenient to have house design, construction, and bath/kitchen design all done under one roof.
