Bruno's name turns up in nearly every review of BM Hardwood Floor Inc., usually in the same beat: out to look at the job fast, quoted on the spot, floors finished sooner than the customer expected. The Rockland shop works flooring and nothing else — refinishing worn hardwood, installing new wood, laminate and vinyl, tile, and the subfloor rebuild that sometimes has to happen first. Porch says the business has been at it ten years; HomeAdvisor puts it at nine. The written record runs deep, then stops. HomeAdvisor carries a 4.9 average across 33 ratings, 94 percent of them five stars, and Porch adds a 5.0 from eight. The jobs described are bigger than a single room: a December 2018 customer had the kitchen tile demoed, new oak laid, the wooden thresholds pulled out to make the house easier on kids and older visitors, and the rest of the floors — hardwood untouched in sixty years — sanded and refinished, and still said the place came back cleaner than they left it. In a May 2024 review, a homeowner with a 100-year-old house liked the refinishing enough to hire the crew back to install more. Subfloors come up more than you'd expect. A customer writing in May 2018 needed a partial subfloor built in a mobile home before two rooms could be floored at all; another, in April 2018, had an uneven and damaged subfloor levelled under an antique living room. Speed is the other constant — one April 2018 customer got the estimate the same day they called and the floor installed three days later. Two things are worth pressing on before booking. The newest written account is from May 2024 and most of the rest sit in 2018, so this is real history rather than a current picture — ask for a job finished in the last year. Almost all of it also lives on one platform: the Houzz and BuildZoom profiles carry no customer reviews at all. The single qualified note in the whole run is small and old — an August 2018 customer gave four stars, praised how carefully the crew treated an empty house, and mentioned finding a few pieces of wood and a coffee cup left in the yard after the trash was hauled. The directories don't agree on where the business sits, either: HomeAdvisor prints a Malden contact address while Houzz, Porch and BuildZoom all say Rockland. HomeAdvisor also lists Spanish spoken, free estimates and warranties. The right call for hardwood — reviving an old floor, replacing a failed one, or a house-wide sand-and-seal where the subfloor may need work first. Confirm the current address and a recent reference before you sign anything.
